El Rushbo will wipe the floor clean with the Irishman.

O'Reilly won't even "Factor" in the equation.

There is absolutely no way that O'Reilly will ever beat out Rush-- no way. None. Not on any date. Rush is the best.

Will someone please break out the transcript of O'Reilly discussing the radio show?
To: Registered
The executives had it right when Bill O'Reilly was reading the news at the Inside Edition tabloid show.
'He reeks of local,' and Rush is going to prove that once and for all.
To: codebreaker
I dunno, I think O Reilly definately can give Rush a run for the money if he wants too... I wouldn't put them head to head myself if I were a program director, but have one follow the other... but that's just me.
I think Rush is and has been stale for a long long time... I'm glad he's out there, but I think he basically preaches to his own chior, I don't think he's bringing people into the fold.

Rush and Dennis Prager go head to head every day at my house. I can't imagine Mr O'Reilly taking much audience from either of them. I wish him luck. Competition is certainly good for the listeners.

Hannity is the next Rush.
To: codebreaker
'He reeks of local,' and Rush is going to prove that once and for all. That "local reek" unseated Larry King in under 5 years and in far fewer homes... I think O'Reilly has proven beyond any pale he is not "reek of local".
To: codebreaker
Hannity is the next Rush. Personally I have never cared for Hannity... I just don't like his style. I know its just personal preference, but its how I feel.
To: codebreaker
Hannity is my cue to turn off the radio.
Long live Rush.

Competition is certainly good for the listeners.Sure is. Good for conservatism too (I know, I know O'Reily is a populist, a JFK Dem but at least he is not a commie like most of them). We are the center of attention. Don't hear about liberal talk show hosts trying to take market share away from each other. Not too long ago, there were few places to go for conservative talk. I even had to buy a short wave radio to find some in New England. Money and profit talks. Now we are mainstream.

O'Reilly? That Arrogant twerp from Levittown? Puh-leez!!! In ten years, him and his buddy George Clooney will be doing infomercials together.

I too turn off the radio when Hannity comes on. His ranting is annoying and he is so predictable. Usually too busy reading or doing IM to even listen to the callers.
I have gone back to Bob Grant who still does the VERY best interview on radio.
BTW, as far as interviewing goes, Steve Malzberg is really doing an amazing job on his Sunday morning show. He has great guests and does excellent interviews.

'He reeks of local,' and Rush is going to prove that once and for all. This is why Howard Stern has failed in many markets, while continuing to suceed in New York and Philadelphia. Some things may work outstandingly well is certain markets, but fail in others. There is a reason why NASCAR will never be successful in New York.

I don't watch 'The Factor' as all anymore.
CNBC's financial show with Larry Kudlow and the screaming guy is much more entertaining.

I agree. Unfortunatly, WABC is currently not streaming its shows on the internet, neither does ex-ABCer Bob Grant. Here in my South Florida exile, all we get is Rush. :-(

Hannity's biggest problem to me is, he's going to say what he's going to say regardless of what his guests or callers say... he just finishes his thoughts ignoring the point presented to him... I only listened to his show on the radio once, after watching him on FNC... I don't watch Hannity and Colmes generally for the same reason...
Your guest moves the conversation or brings in a point and he ignores it to finish a statement, its like listening to a tape recording at times... I think he subscribes the policy of confrontation, instead of discussion. It is not hard to win most debates especially with radical liberals, yet his delivery and manor I don't feel are very effective. Its like he's got his talking points, and who cares what the convo is about, just keep repeating them.
I am sure people like him, he's just not for me. Of course, I think Rush is stale and old as well. I like O'Reilly, have been watching him since his first day on FNC, and generally I like him. Lately I do think his ego's gotten the better of him at times, but we'll see how he transfers to radio.

Howard Stern was cancelled in Chicago after FOX News's 'Mancow' (from Hannity and Colmes) beat him into the ground.
