Well, this was so wonderful to hear today. A teacher I know and had not talked to in probably a year, has come over to the side of the good guys since 9-11.
She teaches high school government/history and had been really upset during the Florida recount. She had very little respect for Condi Rice.
But, my goodness, how things have changed. She told me today that she didn't know where we would be if the guy she voted for had won. She was giving glowing praise of Dick Cheney. She admits she was wrong about Rice. And now for the best part. She is really pinning the blame for 9-11 on Clinton. It almost hurt her to admit it but she is angry that he gutted the CIA and didn't do anything when Scot Ritter was making his reports about Hussein's refusal to allow inspectors.
She thinks Dubya is a great president, albeit not the brightest one. That doesn't matter. Clinton is the Rhodes Scholar and look what he did to this country. This president knows how to lead. He picks good people and has a clear vision. He knows how to take good advice. That is what makes a great leader.
Folks, this is what is happening all over the nation. We can have differing opinions about domestic policy and can have lively debates. But the number one issue is THE DEFENSE OF THIS NATION. Go, Dubya!

Wow! Chalk ANOTHER one up!!!!!

Now can you get her to vote for Simon in Nov?
To: doug from upland
Maybe you could get her to write an article about her changes in view. I've seen an article from a HS student and one from a college student who changed their views. Great reads. Let the converts spread the word through their own words--it would have more influence and impact that way.

He knows how to take good advice. That is what makes a great leader. How true. He's not a self-promoting jerk.

Don'tcha love the power of the media? With carefully edited and repeated sound bites, and scathing editorials of half-truths and omissions, they can control your emotions and feelings on a public figure. Clinton was brilliant - we were told so over and over and over - and those dummy Republicans - Quayle, Reagan, Ford, and now Dubya - are media-created images that may or may not have any basis in reality. We have no way of knowing but it is so painfully obvious when the propaganda machines - also known as the Evening News of the alphabet channels - are at work.
The latest liberal wisecrack is that Bush is stupid because he doesn't know who Leonardo deCaprio is.
Like that's a relevant and meaningful requirement for any profession other than a movie critic. Sorry, but knowledge of pop culture and Hollyweird is so UNIMPORTANT.

Great story!

I found out recently that my grandniece, who is in the 4th grade, in Berkely, Ca., was "allowed" with the rest of her classmates to stand up on their desk chairs and chant "I hate Bush." The teacher had told them that Bush was an idiot and that he stole the election. My sister (not the child's Grandma), who is also a teacher (high school) in California, told her in her best teacher voice, that no indeed, President Bush did not steal the election, that President Bush was a very good man and a very good President, and that this teacher's behavior was VERY inappropriate. The kid was shocked to say the least.
This is what we are dealing with. Thank God the teacher didn't say anything inappropriate about Bin Laden or Muslims, wow, she would have been in trouble then.

This is great to hear! MORE MOJO TO W! By chance did anyone here hear Brit Hume's guest speaker on Special Report tonight, I think his name is Ralph Peters, he GAVE an absolutely GLOWING report on W handling of the War! Reason he caught my attention was in the past he has been EXTREMELY careful to say anything good about W and the war effort! Where can I get a transcript of tonight Special Report?

Since teachers in Kalifornia are probably funded by state as well as local taxes, are there any conservatives outside the People's Republic of Berkely calling for this "teacher's" head?

This is unusual. Most liberal intellectuals really, really hate to admit they are wrong. Give the lady credit for her open mind. It's very rare to hear a story like this in academia today.

didn't do anything when Scot Ritter was making his reports about Hussein's refusal to allow inspectors. Why has Scott Ritter done such an incredible turn-about? I thought that it was because of his company that was manufacturing some kind of environmental detector for offices to detect poisonous gas or other such thing. I think that it has to be more than that, now.
Can anyone pull up some of his old statements? Let's compare.

I read about a super-poll (the primary states-N.H. & Iowa) focusing on Dems for prez in 2004 and there was a LARGE segment of "Bush Democrats" that made the "Reagan Democrats" look like small potatoes! 15% of registered Dems stated they would "very likely" vote for Bush in '04 with another approx. 25% "somewhat likely" to do so! THIS IS HUGE!!!!

You should contact the secret service and let them know about this. It may be the teacher is just nuts but a visit by the SS will scare the crap out of her and make her think twice next time she does this kind of stupid stunt !

Ritter is on the Iraq payroll. There are some threads here on FR that explained the entire thing.
To: Lizavetta
Based on his recent film efforts in another year or so, no one will know deCaprio.
