Just saw them on air, you can see the tail of the plane in the 2nd photo.

I think the clock on the security camera was not programmed correctly in the computer.

The chances that the plane would strike at 9:37 and the police catalouging would be at 5:37 are not good.

Many of the people in charge of security taping equipment are "too busy" to set the clock correctly, etc. Often the person watching the monitors is not trusted to change the tapes, the vcr may be in a locked cabinet that can only be opened by the supervisor.

There are good reasons for this since it prevents tampering but a special effort has to be made by the supervisor to use good tapes and keep the clocks set ,daylight savings time changes are a REAL pain in the a** for 24 hour operations of any kind. (I hate that stupid idea.)

Many banks fail to buy enough new tapes and re-use tapes long past the point of recording clear pictures.

A good cctv can record detail between that of standard broadcast and the new hdtv but only if premium tapes and vcrs are used and maintained.

Too often, the only thing maintained is the warning sign; if the criminal comes in anyway, the cctv often is too grainy too help much.

If you look at the right bottom side of the image you will see the word "impact" with the same formatting as the date. Obviously, the word "impact" was added AFTER the incident as a way to label the photo. It is my guess that this labeling was done at the date and time shown on the left. No mystery here.

I'll take a gander. Most likely the video equipment that took these photo's simply wasn't set correctly? Maybe the time was screwed up, and/or the video equipment couldn't interrpret the recent leapyear?

I'd say this should silence the "it was a truck bomb" fringe, except that anyone who believes the Pentagon can fake the crash of an airliner surely believes they can fake a handful of grainy security-camera stills.

Sadly, I believe the exact opposite. I don't think the tail is easily made out in that one photo, and I think this is going to lead the tinfoil crowd to leap to their feet screaming, "It was planted inside! It was planted inside! The US Government did it!"

Ok ok... I was just being absurd. I knew conspiracy theories would be coming so I figured I'd start with wildest one of all -- what if the day we all thought was September 11 was actually the 12th? You know, we all had our memories erased by one day ala Men in Black...

I think the time is correct, but the 'Impact' was added later.

My guess is that the security camera in the Pentagon was on International Dateline Military time which in Australia would be the next day (just a guess)

yes, there were some people, they posted info here, suggesting that no jet slammed into the pentagon, that it was a bomb of some sort. It was pretty crazy what they were saying because the media reported a bunch of eye witnesses to the jet hitting the pentagon. Truthfully, I think that these people may have been providing disinformation for the sake of discrediting all conspiracy theories in general. In other words the only logical explanation I can think of for those who said that is that they were CIA promoting CIA agenda of making conspiracy theorists look stupid in general.

There is also a video that exists that shows the 2'nd world trade center tower exploding just a fraction of a second before the jet's nose hit the building. I don't believe the video is accurate myself, but some people do. It could be produced by people who wish to blame Israel for the 911 events or it could be an effort by the government to discredit some elements. For whatever reason, the video does exist;

The tail is not burning yet, you may need a magnifing glass to see it..

I don't believe it either. Think about it for a second. You plant a bomb in the WTC and you are going to try and cover yourself by flying a plane into it? To what end?
