Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper or call in to a local talk radio show. It really helps get the word out. Play off some of the great things you learn right here on Free Republic.

You are absolutely right- letters to editors influence a lot of people. And local or regional talk shows are easy to get on.

You CAN HELP. When you call the Capitol switchboard say you want to give your opinion on cfr, then they will ask what state? Just say Florida. They will put you through to Sen. Bill Nelson's office. No questions are asked but they are keeping a tally. Capitol #1-877-762-8762. I have called other reps from other states re: other issues.

Just say Florida and get tallied down here. Nelson was the congresscritter that went up in the space shuttle. He's a democrat but at least he's paying attention. Encourage your friends to call and say "Florida" and get on the Fla. tally. We are all Americans, after all. This is not a Fla. issue but Nelson's keeping track. floriduh voter
