Gray "Dim-Bulb" Davis Took $119,000 from Enron!
Fox News | 02-05-2002 | Brit Hume Special Report

Posted on 02/05/2002 2:50:57 PM PST by Henchster

Brit Hume just had a report on "Special Report" about Gray Davis (California governor) taking over $119,000 from Enron, more than anyone in Congress!

He showed a clip of Dim-bulb getting grilled by reporters on the State Capitol steps, and he was losing his temper as he stated that he has stopped taking contributions from energy companies since he became governor. He refuses to return the money.

Yes, but you have to understand the formula: Dem does something immoral/unethical/illegal, the proper response is "SO WHAT!!!"

Republican does the same, the proper response is, "Resign, or be stoned to death!"

Get with the program, guy.

"Yes, but you have to understand the formula: Dem does something immoral/unethical/illegal, the proper response is "SO WHAT!!!" Actually, I think they blame it on the VRWC, or claim that Republicans did it.

"Republican does the same, the proper response is, "Resign, or be stoned to death!" Or how about: Impeached AND removed.

Get with the program, guy. {;^)

I hope Riordan really blasts Davis on this. I'm sick of seeing all the Davis commercials out here. Everyone I know is sick of Davis and the energy mess he created out here.

I sincerely hope they were informative. If so, you're most welcome. I'm not an expert, but I follow energy matters very closely and get a lot of periodicals relative to my niche and investments. If you have any future questions, feel free to flag or freepmail me. I'll do my best to reply correctly.

...from the Sacramento Bee on Saturday:

"Secretary of State Bill Jones reiterated his demand that Davis return Enron campaign donations. Since 1996, Davis has received $119,500 from Enron, including $42,500 since becoming governor. Davis has said he will not return any money, but adds he no longer accepts campaign contributions from energy brokers or generators."

Ahh, the LYING bit again. First, he told us that he stopped taking donations from energy companies after he became Governor, now he claims he's recently stopped.

After watching Xlinton and Condidit LIE their way out of it, Dim-bulb thinks he can too.

his partial kick back payment for letting energy crisis get out of hand for political purposes? nah... not a democrat.

No wonder he had to raise energy rates. Same reason for that algore phone tax. When are folks going to realize that the dems have found a way to get fees, taxes and kickbacks on life's essentials... while republicans only can figure out how to get money the direct way.

Dems continually cry for the little guy, while they are MAJORLY ass kissers of big utility conglomerates, LIKE Enron, and the power production facilities it owns in Oregon, where California bought power at inflated rates...

Hey Davis, Ray just wanted to let you know... that next check, is in the mail.

The dollar amounts here are literally staggering. You could buy four new cars with that kind of dough... and half a house for your mistress, or in some cases, your boy toy... (not saying anything weird about childless gray d though...)

Great story. I'm always happy to see more Gray-fodder. This Enron story continues to bite Democrats on the arse. My vote is going to be with Riordan. I'm afraid that he's about as conservative as this state is going to go.

Fritz is anything but dumb. He just plays "dumb" to entice the gullible SC voters! The SC voters lack the intelligence to see through this self-serving fraud. He's been in SC politics since at least 1958. He helped his friends JFK and LBJ carry SC in 1960 by some 10,000 votes, much closer than the state's presidential electors had ever been contested previously. If I'm not mistaken, Fritz has won elections in 1958, 1966, 1968, 1974, 1980, 1986, 1992, 1998, will it ever end? He could yet surpass the Thurmond record of longevity. Notice how often he pokes fun at Thurmond's age, but it's Thurmond's age that makes Fritz still the "junior" senator. He is the oldest and longest serving junior senator in U.S. history. But ol' Fritz is smart in politics, like Earl Kemp Long in LA, who could act stupid to keep his ignorant followers united behind his candidacy.

Hollings presents himself as a good old southern boy, but he is 100% Washington dirt. The man is dumber than a box of rocks though. He only gets elected cause people in SC just don't like change even when it's good for them.
