ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan wants to build a 250-foot-high freestanding crucifix at his Domino's Farms office park in this Washtenaw County community.
The 25-story structure, topped by a 40-foot figure of Christ, would be about as tall as the Statue of Liberty, and 51 feet shorter than the tip of its torch.

but maybe, on fridays I'll order from there instead....
Friday? Make sure it's an anchovie pizza!
And how about the large 19 story [Protestant] cross as pictured in post #22?
I'm pretty sure the ACLU has a policy on defending conservative Roman Catholics who are trying to advance a cause. In fact, I wonder whether the ACLU's policy is only to offend conservatives.
That's also one big idol...(see second commandment)
Yes, but as you may or may not know the second commandment has to do with representations of God. The hebrew word "pecel" is translated as "idol" or "graven image" and the commandment is referring specifically to a image used in worship.
This is evident because the first four commandments all have to do with how we should worship God.
Something like, say, a bronze serpent or maybe golden cherubim, perhaps... And it's not like God Himself became flesh and made His dwelling amongst us, providing a true Image of Himself. You're entitled to your opinion on the meaning of the Second Commandment. When you pretend that your interpretation is the only right one, in contradiction to the entire history of Christendom, though, you give me lessons in the true meaning of arrogance.

And if he included feces and urine stains, he would have the ACLU to defend him.
Both of these statements are 100% true.If someone would've thought to do this, say, "Pre-1965" There wouldn't be a problem or ANY questions asked at all.
And a fine example of your faith you are, Ms. Blom.
