I wonder what he'll do with the buffalo herd..
Somehow I'm not sure they'll fit in w/ the new architectural decor..

So you've read the Bible once and have only been inside a church once.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
Not only the ACLU defending him, but some kind of gimme funding to pay for it's erection.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Thank you for your support of Monaghan.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
That's one big idol. (See the second commandment)
To: DouglasKC
That's one big idol. And how about the large 19 story [Protestant] cross as pictured in post #22?
To: unsycophant
The ACLU is defending Monaghan and the use of public funds to erect the cross? I don't believe it.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Well, yeah--but Baba drove by Tom's house once. In Babaville that counts.

They aren't, it was just a rumor.
I'm pretty sure the ACLU has a policy on defending conservative Roman Catholics who are trying to advance a cause. In fact, I wonder whether the ACLU's policy is only to offend conservatives.

That's one big idol.
And how about the large 19 story [Protestant] cross as pictured in post #22? That's also one big idol...(see second commandment)

Do you own a camera?
To: ArrogantBustard
Do you own a camera? Yes, but as you may or may not know the second commandment has to do with representations of God. The hebrew word "pecel" is translated as "idol" or "graven image" and the commandment is referring specifically to a image used in worship.
This is evident because the first four commandments all have to do with how we should worship God.
To: DouglasKC
So is it idol worship for a woman to wear a necklace holding a small cross?
To: DouglasKC
image used in worship. Something like, say, a bronze serpent or maybe golden cherubim, perhaps... And it's not like God Himself became flesh and made His dwelling amongst us, providing a true Image of Himself. You're entitled to your opinion on the meaning of the Second Commandment. When you pretend that your interpretation is the only right one, in contradiction to the entire history of Christendom, though, you give me lessons in the true meaning of arrogance.

If he'd call it 'art' with a vulgar name, nobody would care.
And if he included feces and urine stains, he would have the ACLU to defend him.
Both of these statements are 100% true.If someone would've thought to do this, say, "Pre-1965" There wouldn't be a problem or ANY questions asked at all.

"It's outrageous!" said Patricia Blom, whose lives about a half-mile from Domino's Farms. "I'm a Methodist, but this will offend people in this multireligious area." And a fine example of your faith you are, Ms. Blom.
