Good morning! Here is the second in the Washington
Post series on the first days of the war. The portrayal of President Bush as a great leader is unambiguous. I highly recommend this article as well.

Good morning Chairman and **ALL** you wonderful people.
How dangerous are those folks in Gitmo? They have been caught hiding stones in their pens for use against their guards according to the London Telegraph.
I'm surprised some liberal hasn't tried to say they were collecting the stones to protect themselves from the guards.

Good Morning Chairman!
Been a while since I had a chance to visit, but now with the successful completion of our project (class graded out Friday and is ready to meet their wartime tasking!), I just might have more time to converse with the wonderful folks here! (all I have to do now is catch up on all the normal work that got left to wait for the last month or so!!!)
Am going in search of coffee!!!! Have a great day!!! Back in a little while.

Good morning Chairman, everybody!
I think Kay will be back later today. Anniversary greetings to her!
I sure enjoyed Cheney;s appearance on Fox News yesterday.
It was apparent that Iran and Iraq are due for "regime changes" as Britt Hume put it afterwards, and
that the administration is making post-Arafat plans.

GAO is set to sue the White House over the Vice President's refusal to turn over documents regarding meetings on the President's energy policy.A political ploy that isn't going to work. The meetings held were fully within legal guidelines and the GAO is blowin smoke. (with Waxman's backing of COURSE).

Good Mornin' All. Dark and cloudy morning in central Texas.
Well, Chair, don't we all know those poor prisoners in Gitmo are collecting those stones to protect themselves against the Froot Loops we're giving them to munch on. After all...we should just understand their self worth..because they were so considerate of the women and children from Afghanistan while they lived there.

AND A GOOD, WONDERFUL A.M. TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL FREEPERS IN FREEPER LAND, USA FROM THE MS GULF COAST, USA! Karzai is in Washington and, I'll give you something to think about. How did he get here" On that Afgan airplane? Anyhow, our Prez is gonna spotlight him during his speech along with, who else do YOU think. I think it will be some firemen and policemen from NY and a couple of our troops to boot. You know, those 'captured' and their kind want to KILL us, we americans, just kill us like stray dogs, by the millions if they could. What gets me so mad is that we have professed americans who want to defend them, to watch out for their 'well being'. What makes me even madder is that we have 'elected officials' who are the same way. They are more worried about 'themselves' than anything elese. little tommy d., no question about it, Party Before Country. Blood sport is his goal, forget we americans, its all about him and his dimwitt friends. We need unity, standing tall and shoulder to shoulder. You get two mules and they want to go seperate ways, ain't no way you can make them go in a stright line unless you put the whip to them, they get enough pain and they pull together. Again, the enemy wants to KILL us, any way he can. Its time to pull together, it won't be done, but its time. I have a Dr appointment this A.M. for blood work and I pray that all will be well with the test. I also pray for you and your family, that you will stay healthy and be protected from harm. Of course, Prayers for our President W, he needs them as does our Vice President. Have a good, productive, happy day.

I'm sure most everyone knows about this:
5 of 6 al-Qaida holdouts said killedThis is 5 less al Qaeda that have sworn to their deaths to do everything in their power to kill Americans and destroy America. Good riddance. Having eliminated 5 more of them, we are a little more safe in our country today than we were yesterday.

I haven't read any of the thread yet, but if you are in the mood for a little laugh, here it is:
Osama At The Pearly Gates
After getting nailed by a Daisy Cutter, Osama made his way to the pearly gates.
There, he is greeted by George Washington.
"How dare you attack the nation I helped conceive!" yells Mr. Washington, slapping Osama in the face.
Patrick Henry comes up from behind.
"You wanted to end the Americans' liberty, so they gave you death!" Henry punches Osama on the nose.
James Madison comes up next, and says "This is why I allowed the Federal government to provide for the common defense!"
He drops a large weight on Osama's knee.
Osama is subject to similar beatings from John Randolph of Roanoke, James Monroe, and 65 other people who have the same love for liberty and America.
As he writhes on the ground, Thomas Jefferson picks him up to hurl him back toward the gate where he is to be judged.
As Osama awaits his journey to his final very hot destination, he screams "This is not what I was promised!"
An angel replies "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you. What did you think I said?"

MINI-OPUS:
I made the mistake yesterday of visiting several of the "religion" threads on this forum. What I saw sickened me. Am debating whether I want to participate in/financially support this site any longer. Need time.
Love to all on THIS thread.

We're home safely.
..... Have to get unpacked and then tend to all the business emails/phone messages ... *sigh* ... and catch up on the thread for 3 days and see what's happening in the world.
Be back later on tonight.
We enjoyed our getaway ..... and hubby was glad I persuaded him to leave the cell phone, pager, etc. at home .... *grins*
..... We went to the concert, went shopping, just drove around some to look the place over, walked on the beach (beautiful day yesterday!), watched part of the Eagles/Ram game on tv (sorry, Doggie!), ate some scrumptious meals ..... and just relaxed. Very nice weekend!
