I did a search and didn't see this posted, so sorry if this is a duplicate - just wanted to pass this on to my fellow Freepers! They showed a quick preview on Dateline and it looks interesting!

This story was posted last week. The real life Bush White House is miles ahead of the fictional Bartlet Administration portrayed on "West Wing." Hint: what President was NOT censured for lying to the Congress?? ;-)

TOP TEN QUESTIONS THIS LIBERAL SO-CALLED JOURNALIST WOULD ASK:

1. Mr. President, since you've been in trouble with drunk driving in the past, do you find it easier to be driven in chauffered limos now?

2. Tell me, Mr. President, how does it feel to be thought of as capable and intelligent for a change?

3. So, when will you stop Secretary Rumsfeld from abusing those Afghan prisoners in Cuba?

4. Will your wife be joining us or is she back at the ranch again?

5. What was it like to choke on food in the family quarters and wake up to the realization that Dick Cheney may have been in control during that time?

6. So, are the twins still giving you fits?

7. Do you wake up at night in a cold sweat just thinking about the fact that you are not legitimately the president?

8. How often are you calling your dad for advice?

9. Does Laura read you to sleep at night?

10. Got any fraternity paraphernalia you can show me?

Mr. President

Well, if he actually called him Mr. President that would be a step in the right direction. Last I heard [from others .... I don't listen to him], Tom was still calling him Mr. Bush .... but calling a certain whiny senator Vice President Lieberman!

I don't understand why people make such a big deal out of media not calling Bush Mr. President or President Bush. granted the media is controlled by a bunch of clueless lefties, but if you read back issues (I mean way back to the early 60s) of the liberal newspapers/magazines, they have a tendency of calling Presidents Mr. whatever. take two of NYT & Washington Post's favorite darling boys JFK and Clinton, the papers call them Mr. Kennedy & Mr. Clinton just as much as they call current prez Mr. Bush.

come on, I like Bush as much as you do, but give yourself a break on this and stop nitpicking.

You are right that it is nit-picking in one sense .... but the refusal of the media to consider Bush as their president is a very disturbing attitude. When they persistently call x42 by the title but won't use it for GWB, I get ticked off. And when Brokaw said Vice-President Lieberman, I really blew up. That one cannot be explained away except by acknowledging that there are many in the media who still do not accept that President Bush won the election and has been holding the office for a full year now. And then they claim vehemently that they are objective and non-biased ... Ha!

before I got premium cable service I regularly watched Brokaw, and still do sometimes, and to be honest, I don't find him to be particularly offensive or hostile toward W. compare to 2 other clowns, I'd take Brokaw any day. and Bushes have actually granted Brokaw more interviews than most other journalists, I don't have the exact statistics with me, but I'm quite sure he's not in the lockout league. I don't see rather and jennings getting same kind of access to the prez.
