Shoe bomber judge's hubby nabbed in porno raid

A high-rolling Hub lawyer whose jurist wife is presiding over the case against accused shoe bomber Richard Reid was among seven men busted for fondling each other in a seedy Rhode Island porno theater this week, police and sources said.

Attorney Alan M. Reisch, a partner at the prestigious Goulston and Storrs law firm, was one of seven men busted in Amazing Express Video in Johnston, R.I., Wednesday night. Reisch, the husband of U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Judith Dein, and the other six men all had their pants down and were engaged in various sex acts when cops burst into the darkened theater.

``What they were doing was a public health hazard,'' Johnston, R.I., police Chief Richard Tamburini said. ``It's bizarre.'' The shop, which is listed on one Web site as a popular ``cruising'' spot for gay men, was known to police as a haven for illicit sex, Tamburini said.

``We knew it was a breeding ground for this type of activity but we never thought it went on on that level,'' Tamburini said. ``You expect maybe one-on-one but not seven guys.''

Among those arrested with Reisch was 57-year-old Edward Sherman of North Attleboro and Christopher Scott, a 30-year-old Cumberland, R.I., high school teacher. All were charged with disorderly conduct but Reisch and three others were additionally charged with loitering for prostitution for allegedly soliciting others to join the all-male orgy.

According to one longtime friend, Reisch, 48, has been married to Dein for 20 years.

A man gets caught with C4 plastic explosives in his own private sneakers. He is judged before a woman whose husband was caught with his pants down with six other men. Who's there in this scenario for a libertarian to sneer and scoff at?

Well, this libertarian is wondering why there are no calls for her removal from the bench due to the potential for blackmail involved when you have such a husband.

You know: that SCORN thing we libertarians 'support'. As a libertarian I call for her removal and this does not conflict with my principles at all. Your private life is like your right to free speech: there are consequences attached to it, as with slander, as with 'discrimination' against you for your views.

The public has the right to discriminate all they want to in thier hiring of public servents, just as an individual does. Also, the public, as an association, has a right to insist on non-discrimination too in its hiring practices.

Amazing huh. No absolutes. That must drive you nuts.

A few years ago at 'The Blueberry Arts Festival' in Ketchikan, the local artsy fartsy/NPR-lovin'/NEA crowd who dominate such activities, held an 'Original Limerick Contest'.

I was traveling through town and being inspired by the latest PooP Culture news decided to make this offering of my own.

There once was a fellow named Pee Wee,
Who did 'Kid's Shows' on national TV
But in a dark porno flick
He got taught by a Dick
Not to publicly play with his wee-wee...HE-HE !!

I thought it was pretty cute, but would you believe the local liberal crowd just gave it a few titters ... didn't even rate an 'Honorable Mention'.

I guess my take on the theme was simply judged as too judgmental ... too 'black & white' ... too restrictive for their particular sense of (in my best Savage voice) DI v-e-r- SITY.

If only society would approve of and fawn over their evil behaviors THEN they would begin to feel good about themselves.

If society would punish and incarcerate them for their evil behaviors, only THEN would Cultural Jihad begin to feel good about him/herself.

You got to be kidding right?

Oppps it's really Muffburg....no no just kidding.

She is however the State Senator for some of Boston's western suburbs and she ran second to Steve Lynch in the special election to fill Joe Moakley's seat. Pink Lawn signs - the works.

She has a brother who got busted for the same behavior at a highway rest stop. Reisch donated $1000 to her campaign

I'm sorry you must be mistaken; I thought we heard from President Clinton that being on the receiving end is not sex. (sarcasm off).

And rather than get fired, the 30 yr old teacher will likely recieve a promotion.

Not only that, anyone who publicly states that he or she thinks what the teacher was doing is wrong will be forced to go to sensitivity training or spend time in jail...

Yes, the teacher will now be held up by the school system as a poster boy for diversity.

BTW, I also favor decriminalizing... and prostitution

So... are you going to give us a breakdown of your services and rates? I've wondered, at times, how much people pay.

In 1978, my ex-husband and I visited California and stopped first in San Francisco for a few days. We stayed at a Holiday Inn on Van Nuys Blvd. and went for a stroll our first night there. We happened to stroll down this street and there were about a zillion men and hardly any women. They all were gawking at my husband - I've never seen him act so affectionate toward me. Anyways, I had to use the facilities and couldn't wait till we got back to the hotel, so I picked the closest bar, which was full of men with tank tops and fishnet shirts on. When it hit me that we were in a gay bar, I thought I better ask the staff if they had a ladies room. They did but it had alot of graffiti such as "Bruce loves Ramon" written on the walls. When I was done, my husband was standing at the door, about as nervous as a bastard at a family reunion. All he could say was "What took you so long?" Apparently, he was getting eyeballed by the customers alot. It was quite an experience for me. I was 27 at the time and had never seen gay men acting gay in public like that - holding hands and all.

From http://www.bostonbar.org/sc/lt/photo102401.htm

FEDERAL COURT BENCH/BAR FORUM October 24, 2001

Drawing a large audience, the BBA Litigation Section and the Administration of Justice Section co-sponsored a Federal Court Bench/Bar Forum on October 24, 2001. The Judges reported to and received comments from the Bar on a number of ongoing and upcoming projects and issues.

(Caption)Pictured at the event are: (L-R, front row) Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings; District Judge George A. O'Toole, Jr.; Chief Judge William G. Young; District Judge Mark L. Wolf (seated); District Judge Reginald C. Lindsay (seated); (L-R, back row) Magistrate Judge Lawrence P. Cohen; BBA Administration of Justice Section Co-chair Richard M. Zielinski, Esq. of Hill & Barlow, P.C.; District Judge Douglas P. Woodlock; Senior District Judge A. David Mazzone; Magistrate Judge Judith G. Dein and BBA Litigation Section Co-chair Deborah S. Birnbach, Esq. of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP.

There she is folks - the short swarthy one second from the right. A picture is worth a thousand words, but here's a few more words, from an April 2000 press release by the law firm Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP, announcing the departure of Judith Gail Dein, who is leaving the practice for a position on the bench.

Boston - Judith Gail Dein, a partner in the litigation department of the Boston office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP ("K&L") has been appointed a U.S. magistrate judge in the District of Massachusetts, Chief U.S. District Judge William G. Young announced. Dein, 44, fills a vacancy left by the death of U.S. Magistrate Judge Zachary R. Karol in September. It is expected that the approval process will take two to three months and that Dein will be sworn into her new post promptly after the process is completed.

Dein concentrates her practice in general commercial and employment litigation. She has extensive experience in managing and litigating complex civil matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before agencies and arbitrators.

Dein serves as a lecturer for Continuing Legal Education seminars, principally in the areas of trial practice and employment law. She also serves as a faculty member for trial practice courses given both to practicing attorneys as well as law students.

Dein graduated from Union College summa cum laude and Boston College Law School cum laude, where she was editor-in-chief of the Environmental Affairs Law Review. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in December of 1979. Dein served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert Braucher, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Massachusetts, and as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Supreme Court before joining Hale and Dorr's litigation department. In 1989, Dein joined Warner & Stackpole LLP, which recently merged with K&L.

Dein is a member of American, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations as well as the Women's Bar Association and the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers. She is a Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and a member of the Supreme Judicial Court Clerk's Committee on Professional Responsibility. Dein also serves on the Board of Directors of the Children's Law Center of Massachusetts, Inc.

There's the capsule bio. May I note a few relevant points? A not-particularly-successful lawyer leaves for a magistrate position. The salary, while generously funded by the taxpayers, is low by the standards of northeastern legal hotshots. While a law student, she edited the Environmental Affairs Law Review. The translation, as a previous poster noted: enviro-nazi. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers. Translation: feminist and pro-lesbian, if not necessarily actively so. She is also a director of the Children's Law Center of Massachusetts. Translation: anti-family, anti-parent, anti-religious, working steadily to reduce the authority of parents and make children available for exploitation.

In other circumstances, I might have sympathy for the wife of one of these perverts. Not this time.

Seems to me that the fine Mr. Reisch is eminently qualified to be leader of a Boy Scout troop in Rhode Island. Why it even occurs to me that these seven men are all excellent role models for our youth and it is heterosexualists who are being intolerant of the diversity that these men represent. Yes, I am certain that the civil rights of these fine citizens were violated by the Gestapo tactics of the police. Please write your Congressindividuals and local ACLU chapter today in support of the Rhode Island Seven!

Well .....

Maybe it does .....

But .....

Only if you count the domestic immigrants.

There is a place like this across the highway from our busiiness, but it's not gay oriented (this is redneck country!).

Weird stuff going on. With everything on the internet you would think adult bookstores would be out of business by now. On the other hand, strip clubs are just good clean fun -- or so I've heard.

I remember this place near Chicago called "New Town" that had the same kind of atmosphere. Very different.

"Ever hear of a group called the Log Cabin Republicans? What do you suppose the "Log" part refers to?"

Ugh! And what about the "cabin"?

What imaginations. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
