A high-rolling Hub lawyer whose jurist wife is presiding over the case against accused shoe bomber Richard Reid was among seven men busted for fondling each other in a seedy Rhode Island porno theater this week, police and sources said.
Attorney Alan M. Reisch, a partner at the prestigious Goulston and Storrs law firm, was one of seven men busted in Amazing Express Video in Johnston, R.I., Wednesday night. Reisch, the husband of U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Judith Dein, and the other six men all had their pants down and were engaged in various sex acts when cops burst into the darkened theater.
``What they were doing was a public health hazard,'' Johnston, R.I., police Chief Richard Tamburini said. ``It's bizarre.'' The shop, which is listed on one Web site as a popular ``cruising'' spot for gay men, was known to police as a haven for illicit sex, Tamburini said.
``We knew it was a breeding ground for this type of activity but we never thought it went on on that level,'' Tamburini said. ``You expect maybe one-on-one but not seven guys.''
Among those arrested with Reisch was 57-year-old Edward Sherman of North Attleboro and Christopher Scott, a 30-year-old Cumberland, R.I., high school teacher. All were charged with disorderly conduct but Reisch and three others were additionally charged with loitering for prostitution for allegedly soliciting others to join the all-male orgy.
According to one longtime friend, Reisch, 48, has been married to Dein for 20 years.
What frithers the heck out of me is the way our society is living in the sewer.
That which is about to fall, deserves to be pushed. - Niche?
Incidentally, how common were killings to Moses? Yet he and the followers shrugged off the "regularity" of murder, incest, etc. --- deeds we deem immoral since then. Surely it is easier for you and me than to anyone at that time.
I leader never looses the sight of what ought to be. One becomes a follwer once he resigns to "reality."
I am glad you see the big picture.
I always wondered how a magistrate judge got his appointment.
Back in late 1998 I filed a civil RICO (racketeering) lawsuit against a U.S. Attorney in south Florida.
Much later I found out that before becoming the U.S. Attorney in south Florida, he had been a federal judge in south Florida. (caught him and his colleagues lying to the federal court).
Then in 2001 there was a rumor that he was a potential candidate for the FBI Director job, to replace Louis Freeh, after all he had one of the primary qualifications to be Director of the FBI, lying under oath.
All of this made me incredibly popular with his former colleagues on the federal bench in south Florida, LOL !!!!!!
I agree this is about as good as it gets, there is no suppressing this behavior, squash it here it will spring up there. Busting gays, in a gay movie house, for doing gay things, will in the end bite the rest of in the ass, remember that bar in Greenwich Village is now a gay landmark.
...and slimy lawyers are CERTAINLY not above conspiring with others in order to get dirt on their opponents. Makes it MUCH easier to win a difficult trial. Sometimes, it's the ONLY way to win.
My sincere sympathy goes to the judge...I hope she throws the ( divorce ) BOOK at her slimeball of a "husband".
You really put people between a iraq and a hard place with questions like this.
I assume it means well off financially. Never ceases to amaze me how someone who should otherwise be thankful for all God has given them and should be truly grateful and humbled simply isn't.
True...but she gets what she paid for.....Knowing quite abit about dysfuntional behaviors, addiction, etc., and how it works in relationships, marriage, i'll say this.....She has been married to the guy for what....20yrs? You can bet your last dollar that she is as screwed up as he is on the emotional scale. We are attrached to people who are at the same level of dysfuntion-------funtional. Sort of the birds of a feather thing. A woman who stays married to an addict who also beats her is equally dysfuntional emotionally. Sure she's embarrassed, but she CHOOSE to stay married to him for 20 years......this is not the first insight into his behavior for her......it's like the woman married to the addict.....when he finally gets arrested for DUI, she's known about his drinking for years.....and probably helped him cover it up.....the codependent/coaddict.
By the way, a poster on a thread a couple of days ago said that he knows one of Reid's jailers in Plymouth, and that people at the jail are expecting Reid to be moved to Virginia. That would be because his case is consolidated with Moussaoui's and he is charged with participating in the 9/11 conspiracy. If that happens, the case will be out of Judge Dein's hands.
Recent history would not testify to your statement remember, the Stonewall Inn? Unless you are proposing some kind of final solution attacking these people will in fact only make them stronger all the while receiving further public support. I would venture to say that the majority of citizens would view this bust as police harassment.
Both are threats to our society.
