***Media Getting Set Up To Be Burned Big Time By Enron Story***
Stardate: 0201.13

Posted on 01/13/2002 4:38:46 AM PST by The Wizard

A Media, TV Press, et al that spent all it's time defending the Clinton lies, and giving a lot of space and time to the Clinton lacky's, has just about let it's glee at the potential to attack an honest President, and help make the democrats look less crooked by implying the old stand by:"they all do it" walk themselves into a fatal trap.

Being led by the notorious Waxman, defender of any corrrupt democrat, the criminal liberal media is allowing itself to be used to make a case that isn't there.

They fell so flat in the beginning, because the Bush Administration WASN'T corrupt like the last bunch of bought and paid for crooks, that they have already started to retreat into the claims that BECAUSE the Bush Administration DIDN'T do anything wrong there is a problem

The media whores are about to spend their most important chip, credibility, to support the liars and cheats in congress and the democrat party, clinton's old guard, to help sell a story that doesn't exist, putting them even more visibly in bed with the American terrorists that have attacked the country since the election of Smilin' Bill "Capone"

Some of the smarter people, like Wolf Blitzer have already seen how they have been set up and are starting to retreat.....

Whoraldo even got out of the country, (you think he just decided to leave???)

We'll soon see who are real reporters and who are on the payroll, won't we....

Of course, since November 1963 that no longer exists

What part of DaGam's post do you disagree with?

NOW *you* are falling a bit of subterfuge sown by a disingenuous poster, a probable democRat, whose only posts, save for one tha I saw, was to sow doubt on GWB's involvement.

You are missing the point. It does not matter how much campaign donations they gave the republicans..The question is did they receive any favors for that donation, and the answer looks like a big no.

I think it preceeds Nov. '63 - it stems from when those in the press first learned that they could affect the King's or the people's opinion, as required and when required to influence a situation to one of *their* (the press's) liking or desire.

You will note that "The G man" (AKA DaGman) won't respond.

His mission here is to agitate WITHOUT becoming too visible.

See how *effective* he's been in stirring something up?

At least Tuco-bad will enter into interactive, 2-way give and take debate!

If some two-bit punk goes out and robs a bank, and gets caught, he will likely spend many years in prison.

What has he done? Deprived some bank of the use of its money (most likely insured) for a period of time. How many people were actually hurt?

When corporations and individuals conspire to defraud tens of thousands of investors of what may be part or all of their retirement savings they usually walk away with a slap on the wrist and a full and public accounting of the money involved never takes place.

In my opinion these criminals are the worst of any you can name. If convicted of these huge swindles they should be publicly hanged or shot in the back of the head. If the government won't step up and do it a group of the swindled investors should hire it done. What court in the land could find 12 people who would be willing to convict them?

I agree, but this has nothing to do with the President, as the criminal liberal media, especially ABC today, are trying to hurt.....

It seems ABC didn't read the Washington Post today.....

when those in the press first learned that they could affect the King's or the people's opinion

This first occured during the Crimean War with the reporting of Willam Howard Russell and Thomas Chenery for The Times about the horrible condition of the British war wounded.

Last night, on CNN's "Reliable Sources" we had five (count 'em - five) liberal media types salivating at the possibility of hanging this one on the Bush administration.

I just went to the CNN web site and copied the transcript. It go into my files, to be resurrected when that part of the story falls on its face.

Check it out at: Transcript of Reliable Sources

BTW, one of the liberals was Phil Bronstein of the SF Chronicle. Isn't that Mr. Sharon Stone?

Even Time magazine today said this:
On the evidence to date, the Bush Administration would seem to have admirably rebuffed pleas for favors from its most generous business supporter.

I read that too but it's buried deep in the article. At the same time, they try to blame Bush for mishandling this at the beginning and creating all the intrigue. I guess that's when you know you've won, when it's the way "it was handled." The press is so lame. There didn't have to be any intrigue if they had just gotten to the facts and didn't feed the rumors. I hate the press.

And, Don Evans looked absolutely inept with his stammering and stuttering while answering tough questions from Tim Russert this morning.

No,he did not! I listened to every word and he did a very credible job. Was honest and straightforward.

Your chicken little scenario is not going anywhere as the big media guns start pulling back from this story.

Yeah, but see he has an out---McCain says, "See, this money stuff is so powerful that even good people like me end up taking it! That's why we have to ban it!"
