Way to go! Bet it takes years for the VLWL (vast left wing liberal) press to find this one!

I wish I could find the reference now, but way back studying the "water" situation, I found that Enron had invested in water distribution, but found not enough profit. Not that it means anything, but I found it interesting at the time....control oil and water...not bad..

So far, the "Bush" investigation has brought forth the 96 Whitehouse coffees with Clinton, and now Clinton/Enron tech sales to Indonesia.
This is getting good!
The democrats need to be more careful about what they ask for, eh? They just might get exactly what they deserve!

PS......The Clinton/Lewinski full report is due out today!

I'm rather enjoying all the hooting & hollerin' going on... on one hand is the "Impeach Bush" crowd, and on the other is the "Just shutup! This is a can of worms!" bunch.
What amuses me is that I have seen no evidence of wrongdoing, just allegations. And if there is evidence?
Well, mr. bill & his Merry Pranksters gave us the model, didn't they?
"Sooo What?
Whoo Cares?"

While I don't doubt the rot goes into both parties, I'd bet the worst happened, and on the Dem side during "the recent 8-year Unpleasantness" we all suffered through.
As with anything the clinton crew touched, you are only seeing the tip of a vast iceberg.....

backhoe, so far this administration seems to be handling this honorably. They are puttling it out in the light......Bubba would have waited to be subpeoned then let Buddy chew up the evidence and 8 years later we still wouldn't know what happened. Enron is more tied to the bubba bunch than the Bush crowd.

Even though Enron financially supported the Republicans, the company did also financially support the Democrats. Also, what's never mentioned in the press or elsewhere is that Ann Richards, former Governor of Texas, employed Ken Lay of Enron on one of her commissions. When Bush became Governor, he kept Lay on the commission. Thus, Lay became a holdover from a democratic administration. Demos won't mention this fact.

so far this administration seems to be handling this honorablyI agree, and for the record the last thing I want- or will support- is clintonian rot and spinning.

I am betting campaign finance will get a lot of miles out of this as our wonderous congressmen try to make it look like they are policing themselves again. There seem to be a lot of Dem players in this and no telling who would stab Bush in the back for some big bucks(money).

AuntB, Bush ties with Enron go back to 1988
To: backhoe
I wonder if anybody from Enron was on any of Ron Brown's trade flights, which it was so expensive to get an invite to.

Enron went with Ron Brown on a trade mission to India in 94 or 95 (actually I think it was Kenneth Lay himself who went, but I'd have to look that up). Enron got 3 deals out of the mission--a couple of power plants and I think an offshore oil production contract--worth several billion dollars. Enron also went with Brown on a trade mission to Russia; can't remember the details of that one.
