I'm certain that his guardian spirits were with him.

I wonder if he had an inside track with a last name like "Gabriel..."
Anyway, I've talked to people who have, quite literally, seen angles --and it ususally (though not always) involves the death of a loved one.
Personally, I think this child must be marked for a special purpose in this life --he might be, to use the metaphor of the "Lord of the Rings," a type of Frodo Baggins for times ahead...we'll see....

Bump!
To: Lady In Blue
My daughter is now 37. When she was two and a half she basically drowned in the pool of a new apratment we had just move into. I found her floating face down in the pool. She had already turned purple. When I finally revived her and we took her to the hospital she seemed fine. The doctors said it was a miracle. While talking to her I said that I bet that that was a really scary experienced. She said she wasn't afraid, that Jesus had held her hand. She described him as in a white robe with long hair. At 2 1/2 she had had little or no religious education but she was very calm and confindent in what she had experienced.

Thanks for posting this story of Angels. I am a big fan of Angels and am indebted to them; for I would have left the face of this earth on any one of several occasions if not for their intercessions. Thank God for them.
Coincidentally, I was listening to "In the Arms of an Angel" by Sarah McLachlan as I read this story. Its a song worth hearing if you haven't already.

I belive we all have angels, but we only see them when all hope is lost. I hope to see them when my time comes. We all need a little help sometimes. May God bless all on this new years eve......*smile

Back when I used to work construction one of the guys told me a story very similar to that one. His name is Art. When he was a young boy, before he could swim he fell into the neighbours pool. He said since he couldn't swim, he just laid on the bottom and looked up at the sky through the water. He said he saw angels and he could hear them singing to him.
His brother Bob jumped in and pulled him off the bottom before he drowned.
I've never known this guy to make up stories, just isn't the type, let alone a story like this. I believe him.

Oh My! We had the same experience with my son who was nearly 2 at the time he nearly drowned in our backyard pool. I was 9 months pregnant with my daugher when I found him at the bottom. He saw what he described as a man with a blanket on...I have no doubt that the Lord was with him that day...It only takes a fews seconds for a child to drown and It is a lasting effect on them...He has never been afraid of water after that...For days he kept asking for the man in the blanket.
