Are you sure the Indian Army is such a mess? Its operations in the 1971 war were quite impressive.

Pakistan may just have blinked. Agence France Presse is reporting that Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, the leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been arrested in Pakistan.

Perhaps my Sarcasm wasn't put on that post. War is inevitable, and if nukes are used, so be it. The problem will be of escalation, and where will it end. I'm sorry that you were so quick to jump to conclusions based on a sarcastic post.

Before you start thinking that you can somehow elevate yourself by deriding others faux logic, read between the lines. This is exactly why a lot of people need to get a sense of humor. Oh, and before you go on about how my sense of humor isn't funny, or that kind of talk is evil, let me beat you to the punch by deflating your argument.

Shhh don't rain on the "World War III Crowd" parade here. Few people see the unlikeliness of both countries going to war. There quite simply WONT be a war.

I'm waiting to see who takes sides in this whole little mess. It's then that we'll all probably be in participation in a very dirty little war, that will inevitably cause a lot of people in this world a lot of grief.

I'm not sure what the beef between those two countries is, but I can tell you that nukes should not be the answer, considering how the winds blow in that region, and how many other countries would be affected. This is why Nuclear power should not be allowed in 3rd world countries. It's like watching a chimpanzee play with a loaded .357 magnum.

INDIA boasted yesterday that it would survive a first strike by a Pakistani atomic weapon, but that its neighbour would be wiped out in a swift nuclear counter-attack.

The article offers that sensational lead and then follows up by recycling all the news we already know.

For one, India can not boast anything. Quotes and statements can not be attributed to countries, they have to be attributed to the people running them. This statement doesn't even reference an off the record source. Its just pure $@^&!#* bull&%$^.

I wish newspapers were more responsible and not desperate to print off sensationalist yet inaccurate news. I also wish Drudge wouldn't make a big deal out of such crap.

Publication: Yahoo News Date: October 26, 2001 At least 50,000 militants massed in Pakistan's biggest city on Friday, burning the US flag and effigies of President George W. Bush in the biggest anti-US protest since air strikes on Afghanistan began....

I agree 100%

India has no choice. Like Arafat, Pakistan has been harboring terrorist and his been using that against India.

Pakistan has not ruled out nuclear first strike and India has. Vajpayee has to let Pakistan know that they better not even think of using their nuclear weapons.

Musharraf should arrest the damned terrorists. These Islamic dictatorships are weak, so they don't arrest terrorists and let them attack their enemies.
