A bright & cheery Good Morning to you all!!!
(I can say that ONLY because I am writing this at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday!!! I figured it was safer to have something in the can, as Chair would say, then to try to wing it at the ungodly hour of whatever hour it is right now.:)
We here in Mozie-land are slowly coming back down to earth after a hectic, fun-filled,busy, tiring, and joyous Christmas. We give thanks to our Creator for the precious gift of His Son and we pray that the peace & joy brought to us by the remembrance of His birth will continue to grow in our hearts and in all of yours.
Mr. ML & I are delighting in the antics of our offspring, all 3 of whom are home from college for winter break.
Boychild #2 is in training for the position of in-home kitchen knife salesman (temporary, college student-type work.) As he left for his interview he looked positively dapper in his (thrift shop) pin-stripe suit, power tie, sneakers and pony tail.
Girlchild was delighted to discover that the UWGB mens basketball team eats all of their meals, during winter break, at the Country Kitchen where she waitresses, via a voucher system worked out with the school. So all of these tall, hunky guys are coming in & ordering LOTS of food. Eye candy and generous tips; what more could a girl ask for??
Boychild #1 is on a health kick and now requires bottled water, unsweetened breakfast cereal, raw vegetables, and a regime of running, weight-lifting, raquetball, etc. Someone remove this POD PERSON from our midst, QUICK!! (His former diet consisted of pizza & Dr. Pepper, and his idea of exercise was..........well, he HAD no idea of exercise....)
Well, Ive bored you enough. I have to admit being a bit out of the loop re: current events so I will trust that those with functioning brain cells will fill us in.

My sister the RN said it is her opinion that OBL has been injured. She works OR, and says that he looks gray because of blood loss, in her opinion. She noticed the left arm was hidden, and she thinks he may have an injury.

Just came across a great quote about President Bush .....
Dubya is like a political Columbo. The media paint him as a bumbling idiot but he just moves along and gets things done. This is so much fun to see, and the left has no idea what to do about it.
by Sir Clancelot
Isn't that a perfect description? And the amazing thing is that the quote is from 2/1/01 ..... how much more true it is now! It's from the Quote of the Day site that now has a lot of the best ones of the year.

Got some work to do now ..... back later.
Oh, I am feeling slightly better today. Still sick but on the mend ..... :-)

I'm gettin some pratice in, made me a fire in my newly cleaned fireplace, as I said, just for pratice you know. It raining and it feels kinda cold, I think. Oh well, its a cold rain? Oh yeah, I see some Nile river fish we were growing on the coast for food escaped and now showing up all in the bayous. they can live in salt water as well, those Tilapia fish, (ummmm sounds like Taliban to me) eat everything in site, plants, other fish, we got trouble on our hands now and they will spread to other states as well. So much for experiments. So much for our game fish, brim, bass, all for the sake of 'feeding the children'.

That left sleeve looked empty to me ..... I don't think he has a left arm any more.

I had a coon dog once named Jasper, best coon dog in the south. One thing we found wrong with him, He would run deer at night and tree coons in the day, never did get him trained to tell the difference from night and day.
To: tillacum
Well, the problem I have is that we do not live in the country, but in a subdivision which is fairly near both a school and a large number of retail stores. PLUS, the DOG CATCHER lives right down the street!! I cannot allow her to escape because she will either end up injured, causing a car wreck, or arrested by the dog catcher.
I am now, under Mr. Marple's orders, getting ready to call Sears to see what a fence will cost. (Over the back of the property only.)
Actually, I was afraid Mr. Marple would ask how much someone would charge to take her off our hands!! LOL!
To: kayak
Glad you're feeling better. Don't push it, though. Get yourself good & well.:)
I agree; looks to me like his arm is either missing or paralyzed or something.
To: Miss Marple
Now, your sisters medical opinion is one I WILL believe.

Can't help it, I think I would rather get the local than have to travel out of town for it.

I hadn't heard that info about the Nile river fish. Definatly not good news! I don't fish often (though we do love seafood!), but it would be devastating to lose our many vareties of game fish all for the sake of some silly experiment. I wonder if the people who thought up this "experiment" ever stopped to wonder why these fish were called "Nile River" fish....could it be 'cause that's where God wanted 'em to be, in da nile?!?(sorry, couldn't resist!) Last time I checked, S. Miss was still a looooooooonnnnggg ways away from the Nile river!
Sounds like a topic that needs to be brought up before the Commission on Marine Resources (CMR) which meets once a month. I'll be very supprised if some of our local commercial fishermen and shrimpers don't raise some cain about this at the next meeting. They have a low tolerence for this kind of stupidity when it can affect their livelyhoods.

Boy, I hope I did this right........... You did wonderfully! Thank you for starting this morning!

We won't be able to use the word SNOW???? Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

Just stopped by quickly. Have to get some lunch as the kiddies will be taken to
Fellowship of the Ring today at 1:00. Just a bit up the road, but things still take time.
I'll try to be back later.

Just got done watching the President's press conference at the ranch, with Tommy Franks. Excellent!
Confident, no-nonsense, took no guff from the reporters, looked good and rested, and cheerful!
He has been fishing, will clear brush with THE CHAIN SAW (ha!) and watch UT football tonight.
Oh, and he is giving SERIOUS consideration to recess appointments, especially for Scalia and some others. HAHAHA!!
To: Miss Marple
I caught part of it ..... the best line, IMO .....
.... one thing we know about OBL is that he's on the losing end of a rout ..... HA!
I didn't put that in quotes because it may not be President Bush's exact words but it's pretty close. The editorial comment at the end is definitely mine ... *grins*

I thought it was funny that he made a special point of saying he was going to burn some brush. Ha!
Also, when Bill Sammon asked him if he had changed, or if he was the same, or a little bit of both since September 11, he said.."Ask my wife. I don't spend much time lookin' in a mirror, except when I comb my hair." LOL!
