I hadn't heard that info about the Nile river fish. Definatly not good news! I don't fish often (though we do love seafood!), but it would be devastating to lose our many vareties of game fish all for the sake of some silly experiment. I wonder if the people who thought up this "experiment" ever stopped to wonder why these fish were called "Nile River" fish....could it be 'cause that's where God wanted 'em to be, in da nile?!?(sorry, couldn't resist!) Last time I checked, S. Miss was still a looooooooonnnnggg ways away from the Nile river!

Sounds like a topic that needs to be brought up before the Commission on Marine Resources (CMR) which meets once a month. I'll be very supprised if some of our local commercial fishermen and shrimpers don't raise some cain about this at the next meeting. They have a low tolerence for this kind of stupidity when it can affect their livelyhoods.

NOT TO WORRY the grower said several years ago after one storm broke some levees at the fish ponds. Read this A.M. that cold weather kills them, like it is going to get cold down here.
