Just got a call from John. He is up in San Jose preparing for the move. The system will probably be coming down about two hours from now and it will probably be down for a couple hours. When it comes back up we will be on our new IP address which will be: 209.157.64.200
He has set the current DNS service to expire every hour, so it should not take too long for the new address to propagate out to all the name servers.

Simply put, FreeRepublic will be off the air for a couple of hours. Once it is up again you will be able to access it again. While it is down you will not be able to access it. Clear enough?

If your a Mac user...write down the I.P. Address on a piece of paper....tape it to your screen then press enter. What type of tape ? Scotch, Duct, Masking or Red ? 8-track or Beta?
