Thanks for the ping Snow Bunny. Awesome post mommadooo3.
I can't speak for everyone, but I know this captures my sentiments on the Chritmases I've spent in some God-forsaken holes...
God bless the patriots that are spending their lives and their blood in these times to ensure our security and our liberties...

I wish to extend a Merry Christmas to all of my brother sailors who are out at sea at this time of year. I remember Christmas Day 1998, I was on the USS BOXER (LHD-4) sitting off the coastline of Iwo Jima. Seeing this little pimple of land where so many of my brother Marines had fallen in 1944. A long way from home, and my loved ones.
I know what you are going through, but know that it is because of us that so many here can have Christmas to celebrate.

Thanks for the ping, making me cry AGAIN!!!! I'm going to have to charge you for a new tube of mascara, I'm going through it so quick these days with all these wonderful posts...
I can speak for that wife and son as a wife and son and daughter, we proudly bear the burden of having our loved one far from home, because we know what it means to YOU!
Thanks for reminding us...
God Bless You All! Barb

Thanks for the bump, I know what it is like to be in the military and away from my family for Christmas.
If everyone would do something for a soldier this christmas, there are far more of us, then there are of them, they would have a wonderful christmas, because they will know that they have not been forgotten and that thier sacrifice is appreciated.
Write an E-mail, send a care package, or write an honest to god on paper letter, I know, what a concept. But do something for our soldiers, they are out there for you!!

Thanks for the bump. But now I have to explain to my secretary why I'm sitting in my office whimpering at the computer screen.

Thanks so much for the bump, Snow Bunny.
I, too, am typing through the tears.
Reminds me of that old WW II song:
"Bless them all, bless them all,
Bless the young, the short and the tall..."
Please God, bless them and bring them home to us.
