Central Gossip Agency [Johnnie Walker's father is homosexual]

NOT THAT IT MATTERS a whit to us here in the cool, gray city of love what Frank Lindh, daddy of the Taliban warrior from Marin, does, did or dreams of doing with other consenting adults, but shouldn't he come clean with us about all the facts in the odd odyssey of his son?

Frank Lindh has been quoted time and again as saying it was his son John's reading of the "Autobiography of Malcolm X" when John was 16 in 1997 that turned his son's head and heart towards Islam. But something else then going on in the family's life may be have been just as pertinent.

When Frank Lindh left his family in 1997, it was to move in with a male companion. Yep. ... The man with whom Lindh lived has since been described as "a family friend," but other family friends say the men lived as a gay couple.

It would take a specialist in family issues to map the constellations of feelings and problems that would describe John Walker's path toward Islam in 1997, but sources close to the family say the father's turn of life from married man to modern gay man startled and flustered the 16-year-old.

Given the pummeling that the Walkers and marvy Marin County have taken from the national press over their wayward son, you can't blame the old man for wanting to suppress reporting on his sexuality. ...

Not being homophobic

Are you perchance necrophile-ophobic, for can't we agree that if your beloved dies one certainly should be able to embalm him or her and continue the relationship with the body, even though the spirit is removed? Nobody is harmed -- right? It's the continuation of a loving relationship, right?

It's even a STABLE family. And we all know how important that is, according to people.

It's not about morality, it's about stability, about a loving relationship.

We must open our hearts, as decent people, to the loving necrophiles among us. What we find distasteful, they enjoy. It is a lifestyle, one of many. We can not be judgemental.

Sounds like you have personal family problems that make you resent married people.

Oh, I can be judgemental. If you want to bang your dead relative, I am certainly allowed to think you're a complete weirdo.

Why do you want to do such a disgusting thing? That's worse than being a homo!

Oh wait! Is your deceased loved one the same sex as you? Now you're way over the top, sicko!

So who is helping her daughters with homework, rides to school, saving for college ... It's their openly homosexual uncles.

No person who breathes is without some sparks of good. Even callous muderers have done acts of selfless heroism or amazing charity. The ladder going up is always available, no matter what levels one falls to.

Hooray for the uncles!

I'm sure if we should take this to private email..BUT....put yourself in John Walker's place. You are a teenage boy and your parents are Catholic and upper middle class wealthy. And your father announces that he has a boyfriend and leaves the family to live with his boyfriend. You're not going to tell me that that would screw you up? That that would cause you permanent mental scars and damage?

Looking further at John Walker, in his case, maybe he did not resent homosexuals previously to this, however, this seemed to have cause him to go over the edge. He went to a religion that HATES gays, he changed his name from his father's name (Lindh) to Walker, he spouted anti-gay things on the internet.

There is no way you can tell me he wasn't seriously damaged by his father's actions....

In addition, the father has been LYING the ENTIRE TIME, saying it was a book which caused Walker to go over the edge, when in FACT it is the FACT that he left his wife and children to go pursue his decadence.

Not all homosexuals are horrible, some are extremely great, the greatest, however, many here in freepland resent the gay agenda, marriage rights, actup screamers, gay disruptors, gay groups that target Sally Army, The Boy Scouts, etc. Gays that hate the ex-gay movement.

You need to understand that there are many people who still think homosexuality is wrong and abnormal; it isn't because they hate homosexuals. And I'm sure most of us know that there are many homosexuals who have done many wonderful caring things for other people. I myself had two gay men as neighbors for a number of years; they were absolutely great neighbors. That, however, does not change my opinion about the harmful and confusing influence that mainstreaming homosexuality can have on children.

I don't think Exodus and the ex-gay movement is there for people who want to stay in the life of being gay. It is there for people who want to leave, and leave by choice, people who don't feel fulfilled as gays and lesbians. I'm not saying this is you, it is not for everyone, it is however for people who want to make that change, and I support that. Not everyone is a happy homosexual, many, especially older gays and lesbians, etc, are alone, lonely and unhappy. You know what I am talking about. Gay life, as presented in the mainstream media is presented as happy, etc, but you and I know that it is/can be very dark and lonely.

I know this because I live in San Francisco and I have a relative who is gay...but I'd rather not go into the reasons or my feelings about it, except to say that he's very unhappy inside.

I support gay conservatives, and many many gay people are just wonderful, however, I feel that our society has taken a shift for the worse, ie, the anti-mother's day movement started by a gay dad in a private school remember that? And on and on, the social agenda, the forcefeeding of our school children this stuff of multi-culturalism, gayness, etc; starting in pre-school.

That being my feelings, have a Merry Christmas to your family as well...

Just because I don't condone or agree with the queer lifestyle doesn't mean I "hate" them. That is their perception. I think it is a Freudian thing.
