DC Chapter To Help Our FRiend, Linda Tripp -- Here's How You Can Help, Too -- Thread #2

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will forever admire the courageous stand taken by Linda Tripp to tell the truth during the dark days of the investigation leading up to the impeachment of President Clinton. This was done at great personal sacrifice.

It is with great sadness and concern that we learned recently that, while others have profited handsomely from their criminal acts during the Clinton era, Linda Tripp has been nearly bankrupted and is facing foreclosure on her home. She was fired from her government job by Bill Clinton on the last day of his term. Her attempts to find another position in her field at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany were sabotaged by a leak to the press.

Since then, according to press reports, Linda has not been able to find work commensurate with her experience. We believe that this is because she is considered radioactive as a result of her reputation for telling the truth and not going along with the business-as-usual practices of those who do work with the Federal Government.

According to press reports, actions leading to foreclosure on Linda's home in Columbia, Maryland, have commenced. She had been renting the home out while staying with friends but it has recently been without tenants.

Members of the D.C. Chapter are stepping forward to help Linda in her time of need. We want her to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If you would like to share the D.C. Chapter's efforts as we give a hand up to a FRiend, here's how you can do so:

Send a check or money order payable to Linda Tripp. Please send it c/o David K. Colapinto, Esq., Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, P.C., 3233 P Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007. Mr. Colapinto will see that whatever funds are received will go directly to Linda Tripp and not to a defense fund.

The link wasn't clear on that point, but I'm happy to have the record set straight. She was arrested. When asked on her application for employment if she had been arrested she said "No".

LeBoutillier is a Bush-hating phony, and it is his OPINION that Linda Tripp "told people about it [a Bush Senior affair]". It was also LeBoutillier's opinion that Dubya was going to lose the 2000 election.

So, basically, he's full of horse Clinton. You may cling to his opinion like a liferaft, but remember to take a shower after you get out of the water. ;-)

Consistent Disruptor, I am merely posting the full text to prove that it did not say it was a rumor, unlike what you asserted. I will admit some people have doubts about Mr. LeBooutillier's writings, but it IS true that you, whether accidentally or deliberately (a la Michael Bellesiles), misrepresented what the article said. The closest it comes to your particular point of view is that it states that Linda Tripp thought President GHW Bush's behavior with Jennifer Fitzgerald was inappropriate...
