My wife and I are trying to figure out why we had this mailed to us? Maybe because we started donating to the RNC last election? Anyone got any clues what gets someone on the White House X-mas card list?
P.S: Scumbilly NEVER sent me a card, BUT if he had I would have tossed it anyway!

I received the same nice card. I jokingly said to my assistant, who helps me go through the mail: "gee, I wish they'd stop bugging me with this stuff!"

We received one also. We gave $100 to the Bush campaign. It was the first time we ever donated to any politician. My daughter (7) took it to school for show and tell. Pretty cool getting a card from the President.

Laura initially wanted to mail all those cards out to folks without a return address on them.
Wiser heads persuaded her that a full return address is always a good idea.
No doubt she is overjoyed having done it the right way rather than her way.
The Bush family knows when and how to take orders.

Got one! Isn't it pretty? Laura Bush told Barbara Walters that she changed the inside top verse because she thought people needed to hear about the "Goodness of the Lord" this year.

I got this one and I got one last year that still said "Governor" because they mailed before the Supreme Court's decision.
I know that it is silly because they probably mail about a million of them, but I teared up over the cards both years.

I am one of the few who didn't receive one, apparently . . .There were a lot of posters on the Daily Dose of President Bush recently who said they got one after volunteering, or donating to his campaign. I guess the Bushes take care of their own!

Nope...never have gotten a Christmas card from the White House...but that doesn't mean I'm not thankful for the current occupants!!!
To: Gasshog
I want one. Why didn't I get one? For some bizarre reason, the only "holiday" greeting from a politician that I've gotten so far is one from Nancy Pelosi. And I certainly didn't ask for that.

I got one. I think it's for donations of time or money to the RNC.

Yes. We got one last year from the Gov's mansion, too. You know you're on the
list when you're getting these - the RNC list. But I treasure them. Especially from Bush. AND, it means we have a winner in the White House each time you start to get them.
Someone asked me today at the Bill of Rights Day Celebration if I'd thought what "Home Land Security" would be like of Gore were up there. NOPE! Don't even want to think about it. Thank you Lord for this Christmas Card from Bush!
To: Gasshog
Yep, I received one of those cards myself. Pretty nice.

I got an official 8X10 presidential portrait of George Sr., and Barbara one year.
I scribbled "Bill, thanks for the information" across it in flowing script with a sharpie, and framed it. I had it sitting on my TV, and it was a good conversation piece that my buddies all got a big kick out of.
It was sitting there when the Cable cops and FBI came in and seized my magic cable box (long story). They didn't know what to think, and one of the FBI guys asked me, almost reverently "Does he know you?" BTW-No charges, just lost my box!

Yes, we received one a couple of days ago, and it is very nice.

My wife got one, I didn't..

I received one, and assume it's because I sent money to the Republican party in 2000. I'll put it on my computer monitor at work Monday, and watch the extreme leftists' reactions.
To: Gasshog
We received one also because we donated to his campaign. We also received a card from Senator Gramm. We gave to his campaign 5 years ago. I have given up on the Repub Senate campaign. ( I will give to individuals)

My husband's so jealous - it was addressed only to me. I said it was because I was a freeper and he's not. My kids are sure proud of their mama!

I didn't get one. And if they don't send me a birthday card in March, I'm going to be really hurt.
