I'd like to know why Dorothy responded when it seems Dubya addressed himself to Terry. I can hear the chill in her voice, too -- a woman with no sense of humor.
And I bet that the moment she got home, she checked her stash of Clinton-era silver and china, boxed it up, and sent it somewhere for safe storage.

Rush stole it from us, and passed it to Ari, who whispered it to W.
We got it from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Who stole it from George Bernard Shaw.
Who got it from James McNeill Whistler.
Who stole it from Oscar Wilde.

I'd like to know why Dorothy responded when it seems Dubya addressed himself to Terry. The answer can be found in a famous Austin Powers line:
"It's NOT MINE, ....Reeeally!"

Nothing to see here, folks. Move on!. . .

I'd like to know why Dorothy responded Read it again. It was the husband of Dorothy who responded. They mentioned her in an attempt to explain why the McAwful's were invited.

Yah gotta love our wonderful President for his wickedly funny (and appropriate) sense of humor!!! The "stealing the silverware" remark reminds me about when he referred to not "hitting a camel in the butt" (with a missile) when he had that meeting with Senator Cottage Cheese Ankles. ROTFLOL!!!
To: Lazamataz
I don't know it's lineage, but you're certainly right about it being old.

The husband of Kennedy Center trustee Dorothy McAuliffe replied, "I have no intention of doing that, sir." The husband said it. He was there because of his wife's position.

She did not respond. Read it again. The husband of Dorothy... In other words it was Terry who responded.
