On Dec. 4, the Star Tribune had an excellent editorial decrying the fact that AIDS-fighting condoms are being recycled because they are in short supply in African nations. The U.N. population fund estimates that $1 billion is needed and only $40 million gets funded. Millions of people are needlessly dying because of this shortage. The pope and bishops of the Roman Catholic Church should take a major share of responsibility for this loss of life.

This has been an issue since the begining. We are called to be in the world but not of it. The problem the religous left has is they have put the cart before the horse.
Well this so called writer is probably right about rape being a greater sin. However, masturbation is the ultimate insult to oneself by oneself, as a Buddhist friend of mine once remarked.
Though you purport to quote this passage favourably, your support of condom distribution and the obvious unacceptability of the above suggest that your views are actually the reverse.
You are implying by quoting these passages that Christian theology is just as cruel as the Qu'ran.
Please say what you mean and defend your position.
My support of condom usage has no bearing on the scripture that I quoted directly from the Bible. I personally do not belive in pre-marritial sex. That does not preclude me from allowing some protection from disease. I say some protection becuase condoms are not 100% effective in Aids prevention.
My views are not the reverse. You are reading what I didn't write, which means you are translating what I wrote to fit your views.
hunh?
oh wait, I get it, condoms will make everything all better, no more suffering, poverty or disease. Yes, I understand now, recycled condoms are the answer to all the worlds problems.
I'm finally free!
That actually makes more sense: it has to do with the roles between spouses when it comes to teaching; this also reconciles better with the teaching that 'there is no man or woman, Jew or Greek, slave or free in Christ,' else all women are subjected to all men.
Define 'many,' skunk.
It also speaks of how women should present themselves. 1 Timoth 2:9-10 - 9 I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
Thsi clearly shows God's position for women.
Now let me restate what has slipped due to my haste. Women are very, very important! Without women there would be no church and there would be no man. Women play a very vital role in the church. Their roles can change how a church views these topics without having a leadership role. The leadership role is all I object to. Women have been trying to rule over man since Adam and Eve.
My wife is very influential to me, and I to her. In my house I am the head of the household (which some would call master, but not I), but I am a gentle loving christian who loves my wife more than I love anyone, even myself.
IS this clearer?
During those years he also helped organize Cesar Chavez's United Farm Workers.
That about says it all don't it?
Where is the commandment "thou shalt get your pops drunk and screw him like Lot's daughters did" ? Where in the Bible is that in any way ever spoken favorably of?
Give it a rest.
