I think it dishonest for the Palestinians to claim Israel as their homeland based upon this info. Please fellow freepers, tell me where this info is wrong. If not, then Israel has a right to defend herself using whatever means posible

Israel is in the middle of their enemy. It's just not cost-effectve to let then stay there. The Islamic society wants to grow and come alive at this time. They won't believe that the reason for their unproductive lives is their own LAZINESS, until the Jews are gone.
I say give the Jews a homeland in one of th UN parks in the west. Make the invitation to cover our a$$es and then stop ALL donations to ALL governments in the ME. Fly'em over here and if the slamic idiots keep acting up, just nuke them and kill them all. How does that sound?

In Islamic math 34 is greater than 3400. And they claim to have invented the concept of zero. HA!

This is the official line, but it doesn't stand up to any historical research.

Not a single statement is, as far as I know, untrue. That being said, the establishment of a state based on western cultural and political norms, inhabited and run by people whose culture (after 1,900 years of diaspora) is largely European, and supported militarily by the west (US) like it's Fort Apache smack in the middle of the Arab part of the old Ottoman Empire was an earth shaking event for the people there.
After occupying a piece of land for around 1,300 years (over 60 generations) people do consider themselves to be the owners, no matter who actually rules the place (Turks, Egyptians, Brits, Jordanians, etc.).
It is a Gordian Knot of a problem which, by default, will probably always be settled by superior force of arms.

Comments, additions, corrections ?? When I see "B.C.E." or "C.E." I stop reading.

Israel became a nation in 1312 B.C.E., two thousand years before the rise of Islam.
Of course our Jewish friends have the rightful claim. Palestinians are vilent squatters and need to move out. The sooner the better.

Dosen`t matter who was there 1st. Who will be there in the end is what counts. I put my money on the Jews.

>Comments...?3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 B.C.E, the Jews had dominion over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the land for the past 3,300 years.
Close, but no cigar. Mostly semantics. Since "Jews", distinct from members of the other 10 tribes, didn't come into existence until about 922 BC with the formation of the Southern Kingdom, your date is a bit early.

Yes, drop the BCE dating...use the B.C. or A.D. !!

Which ethnic group was in Israel first, the ethnic group which (may have migrated at some point(s) in its existence) which later became "the Palestinians," or the ethnic group (the Jews) which migrated into Israel over 3300 years ago?
Which ethnic group set foot on Israel first?
Should Ariel Sharon be tried for war crimes, for the ethnic cleansing of the inhabitants of Canaan 3300 years ago?
Or is this getting a little bit ludicrous? Does it MATTER which was the first ethnic group to live in Israel, millenia ago?

Neither was there first. There were Neanderthals living there already in prehistoric times.

The real question is who gets to stop the historical clock at the exact moment it points to their specific ancestors or advocacy. The region has been continuously inhabited for over 280,000 years. The first permanent settlements predate the arrival of Abraham by over 5,000 years. In the entire history of the region the Jews have only only held primacy for about 300 or 400 years. One could argue that the Syrians (Assyrians), Iraqi's and Iranians (Babylonians), Greeks, Italians, Saudi’s, Egyptians, French (Templars), Khurds, Turks, and Brits could make as legitimate a claim as the Palestinians or Jews.

New to this website, not exactly sure how the comments are supposed to work but anyways. I felt like I should link a YouTube video released by Dennis Prager of PragerUniversity of whom studied this whole conflict in serious depth at Columbia Universities’ Middle East Institute at its school of International Affairs, explaining the situation of Israel and the history of the state of Israel. Includes some of the points this very list points out.

Question. I don’t know anything about the history but am interested in this topic. So, Did Moses go through the land and kill all of the natives prior to King David founding the city? What is the biblical history, exactly? From the very, very beginning. Were Islamic-like believers occupying the land? Even though they had not yet been “labeled”.
Thanks,
Tim
