So if minorities are given the chance to compete on merit rather than melanin, we will wind up with segregated schools? Who are the racists? Who are the people saying minorities can't compete?

I suppose the formule is, if it's a crime, race doesn't matter. If it's a windfall lawsuit, then race does matter.

I saw some expose show (20/20, 60 minutes, whatever) that was reviewing Michigan Law School's admissions policies a few months back. They found that a black applicant with a standard LSAT score (150?) had a 95% chance of being accepted to the school while a white applicant with a similar score was accepted less than 15% of the time... the results of their efforts to make the admissions 'fair'.
