AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 317) [Remember the Trade Center!!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 3, 2001 | All of Us

Posted on 12/03/2001 3:12:32 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...

...ARE GOING TO KICK YOUR A$$!!!

So states a sign at the entrace to Camp Justice, the Marine base located approximately 100 miles outside of Kandahar, the last remaining stronghold of the Talibums in Afgoneistan.

We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail![President Bush]

Well, the lighting of the Christmas, er - Holiday, tree took place yesterday in Kensington. Despite the wishes of the city council, hundreds of Santa Clauses showed up, and one did, in fact, ride in on a fire truck - as had been done in years past. No comment was forthcoming from the chair of the council.

Secretary Rumsfeld has a message for the remaining defenders of the Talibums in Afgoneistan. It is very simple; sufficiently so that I think they should understand: Surrender, or die. There are reports the remaining enemy elements in Kandahar are considering defying the Mullah and are contemplating surrender.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The hotels in New Orleans can go suck eggs. If LSU beats Tennessee, they have earned the right to go to the Sugar Bowl.

And if BYU goes to the Sugar Bowl, they'll find that we won't spend much more money in New Orleans either (except food and hotels.) The Sugar Bowl was at the BYU-MSU game Saturday evening, but I think it was out of courtesy. I don't see the Sugar Bowl extending an invite to BYU. And the Fiesta Bowl was the best bet for a BYU invite, but with all the upsets of the Big 12 teams, the Fiesta Bowl is probably now taken by Colorado and the Pac-10.

I just found out that I may be without my Internet connection at home for another 10 days...stupid @home/excite.com and ATT&T couldn't reach an agreement. This is one time that I wished I lived in a bigger city...

Hi, Elsie! I've been gone from the computer for a lot of today...still dragging out Christmas decorations, which I have WAY too much of!

Never ever work retail, as I did for a few years, or you will suddenly feel compelled to decorate EVERYTHING! And not only that, you will feel like you have to have decorations for every holiday. (Easter Tree, Fourth of July centerpieces, Halloween, etc.) Yikes!

I think I am going to lobby to go to England next Christmas. It would be Christmasy and I could stick my children with hosting the Christmas Eve for 25!!! (They would panic...har!)

Polly,

I think you've found a variation of the song/recording I'm thinking of! I don't remember any Santa in the song I'm thinking of though......

MM, yesterday I put up all the outside lights. I have ribbons of red, white and blue lights. The tree will probably go up next weekend. My sis bought me a box of 30 ornaments (balls) all lined up like the flag. Blue ones with white stars, and then the red and white ones making up the stripes. Now, I'm trying to figure out how I will hang them on a tree, so they will look as cute as they do in the box!

If you wouldn't mind pinging me, I'd truly appreciate it. I'm debating going on the AT&T phone connection until I get the cable modem back. It is just so slooooow and ties up my phone line. This is just very maddening because AT&T knew that Excite.com was bankrupt, and they've had since August to figure something out.

Good.

I was hoping y'alls would weigh in on this topic.

I am more informed now than I was this time yesterday. Thank you!

I see that PM Sharon delivered a statement which sounded like a rendition left in our President's waste basket ... not quite as sharp and eloquent ... but very familiar in content and form.

Har! Not bad for a dumb guy from Texas ... world leaders after copying ... following him ... and not even in Office a full year. LOL!

The economy can rest easy this night ... I saw. I bought ... I saw and bought again .....

Sharon is playing a dangerous game, emulating us. He is trying to draw the U.S. into the fight by using our words, but he does not want much input from us as to how that fight is waged.

That means now that we gave him the GO signal (which was done today by Bush's skipping of the 'hang back, Israel' mantra) and if he does something really abhorrent, the US gets the wrath, too. Brilliant political strategy, but it can draw a whole lotta players into it.

Also, Putin is playin' both sides, too: a month ago the oil prices went down because Putin essentially guaranteed anti-OPEC oil prices, today we hear that OPEC is near an agreement with Russia on oil production. I'm not gonna say I told ya so on Putin, but...

I agree, Bit ... and I also think this was all set in motion when wjc made the verdict that if his daughter was unable to get the two sides to common ground, violence would be the result.

Putin is, I think, both a dangerous enemy and a dangerous friend ... he is ruling a country in total disarray and is always just a step ahead of a coupe ... their economy has tanked ... they have no cohesive national identity ... and so many past overt/covert agreements and alliances which contradict and cancel each other out ... it is not logically managable ... which makes for even more dangerous times.

He will not lose ground in order to retain a new friendship ....

And can someone tell me why we are being Berger-ized these days?! What a despicable cretin ...

Oh Good. Geraldo's purple-prose is up now ... roving bands of brigands ... damnedably dangerous ... bringing the folks at home the harsh and brutal reality ...

I see a place for him in your next installment ... WAIT! ... Can it be me on the motorcycle which runs over him ... mistaking him for a brigand?! Can I?! POLs!!!

Poor Geraldo ... empty vaults, hidden caves ... rampaging brigands ...

So, were they reacting to a rumor or an announcement?

I do not understand everything about the oil market. Dog Gone says that it isn't good if the price gets too low either, because then marginal producers go out of business, creating a shortage and then a worse price hike on the rebound.

You might consider that if we have cheap oil, the Congress won't have the inclination to work on the energy bill, which we need in order to be independent.

I have faith in President Bush, and I think he is right about Putin. Time will tell.
