It's no act. Arator is much more a part of FreeRepublic than you, and that the sheep here might bleat in fevered denial changes that fact not one iota. You included.

I obviously haven't been at this site as long as either as you, but frankly, neither of you have impressed me very much. Perhaps if you stopped calling anybody who disagreed with you names like "sheep" and "Bushies" and "goose-stepping globalist goons," you might have more of an influence upon others in this forum. Right now, you just look like crybabies who can't take the heat.

Free Republic is like a lifeboat and a friend and anything but a fraud. Not only does it provide an outlet for many of us to discuss current issues and deliver news, but it is therapeutic. Those of us that are interested in the offerings of FR have a refuge here and the thought of its absence makes me shudder. Long may it live !!!!!!!!! I'll be mailing a donation tomorrow.

It's really a simple equation: Fear of banishment = Obsequious sucking up to Jim Rob = Attacking anyone Jim Rob designates as "the enemy" to prove one's devotion and to render oneself banishment-proof = Conspicuously railing on Arator for anything and everything, real or imagined, especially on a thread Jim Rob may frequent

I understand the desperate ploys of the slavishly insecure. Thanks to my public dissent, I have become the instrument for many to prove their bone fides with their would-be "master". Consequently, I regard all these silly and bogus attacks against me to be exactly that, and I do not take them personally.

I hope that your Arator-bashing merit badge earns you many a censorship/banishment free day of FReeping. If so, at least you all will be partially compensated for your own loss of personal integrity, decency, dignity, and self respect.

Thanks. Personally, when I give money to someone, I always do so with the understanding that it is no longer mine and can be spent for any purpose the recipient pleases. (Unless a claim is made that 100% will go to a specific purpose, like many charities have done recently).

Any service has a perceived or intrisic value. It's simply worth what it is worth to you.

It is not your concern how the site is administered as long as the service is of value to you.

Jim could be stuffing your money up his nose and it is not your concern as long as the service has value to you and you give Jim no more money than you think the service is worth.
