Once again a field in Pennsylvania is hallowed ground. This took me right back to that terrible morning. We will always remember where we were that fateful day.

Angelique, dear lady, that caisson rolling thing belonged to the artillery of the United States Army, I think.
Marines don't roll wagons around, we blow 'em up.
Here's the official words to the United States Marine Corps Hymn:

"From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom, and to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title of United States Marine.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze from dawn to setting sun.
We have fought in every clime and place, where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far off northern lands and in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job, The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps which we are proud to serve.
In many a strife we've fought for life and never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy ever look on heaven's scenes,
they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines."

Here's a verse we used to tack on between the second and third:

"Again in nineteen forty-one we sailed a north'ard course
And found beneath the midnight sun, the Viking and the Norse.
The Iceland girls were slim and fair, and fair the Iceland scenes,
And the Army found in landing there, the United States Marines."

"Reflective people may wonder why the the 2nd impact, off center, with the fire ball outside the building, caused the first collapse.

But doing such wondering in a public forum might, in the present legal climate, get that reflective person incarcerated...

Did you hear President Dubya recite the twenty third psalm at a memorial? Whether some here agree with him or not on political issues, he's the right man to give comfort to us. Have you ever read the book A Shepard Looks at the Twenty Third Psalm? It's an older book and I recommend it if you can find a copy.

Further, I support Franklin Graham's comments. He has been around the world and seen the living conditions and brutality Islamic countries impose on their people. If a man bases his opinions on personal knowledge, then he has every right to hold those opinions.

By the way, you can send an email message to the military via patriciaruth by sending her a private reply from the thread. I wrote a generic email which will be sent with others to our military in a printout that patricia ruth is putting together. Thanks.

Have you ever seen the airport, much less the runway, that your plane is going to land on? People inside a plane have almost *no* view forward, except for in the cockpit.

You could see you were low over New York City, probably, but that's it.

The passengers of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania had much more time to call on their cellphones and find out (and confirm) the WTC crashes. The reason that the hijackers turned as they crashed into the WTC was to cause more damage to several floors, not just the one they would impact, so far as I have read.

When I read about this story, I can only think "Thank God for those courageous people." How much more unbearable would the terror be, and the aftermath, if we didn't have their example of valor to look to. I think it gave all of us renewed hope about the character of our country. At least it did me. Not that I ever doubted it was there, but it was important to let the terrorist know that they cannot win in the end.

"To the hero's: I will never forget your sacrifice, and will make sure my children someday understand and honor just how much your actions meant."

Couldn't have said it better.Their acts of uncommon valor and courage should go down in the history texts so that ALL American children will have the oppurtnity to read about it.

I also hope that muslim children can learn what real bravery and courage are.All they have to learn from is the cowardly,chickens@#!@t,actions of the terrorists.
