Save this URL as a bookmark (in your Internet Explorer) named "Free Republic," and you should be able to start up the "pager" window every time you log on to FR.

JohnRob created this (I think) in order to save system resources, with this "pager" you don't need to use the full "self-search" feature anymore.

Thanks, sirgawain. I added the bookmark to my personal toolbar at the top of my browser window where I have a mini-folder for FR. It works well.

Bonus: My computer gives me a little audio "ding" when the Ping Window is activated! So I don't have to keep checking it, I just have to listen to the "ping ding."
