LOL! I've been trying to become a Sens fan... just takes a little time! BTW, my husband went to the Avs/Sens game last Thursday, he said it was a great game, the Sens won just at the last minute. I was asleep when he got home & kind of groggy, so I don't really recall the details. I hope they (the Senators) do better this year in the post-season. :)

There were three players involved in that accident:

Slava Fetisov, assist coach for the Devils and just inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Sergei Federov, still plays in Detroit.

Vladimir Konstantinov, paralyzed. He has made great strides in his comback. Was on the ice for the 97-98 cup celebration. I believe he now walks with great help and his speech is still stunted. But God love him, he is alive, well and a great fan of hockey.

If your hunger for info on Vlady is still not satiated, go a google search on his name. There are many sites and news stories.

Hi, everyone. I'm pinging everyone I can think of because I really think this is one of the funniest threads I've ever seen, especially the picture in post #25.

last night I forced my husband to look at that picture (he's not a fan of virtual communities), and, while we were not rolling on the floor, and our behinds are still attached (debatable whether or not that's a good thing), we really were laughing out loud. :-)

Also, I'd be interested if anyone else has a "flooring-it-in-reverse-gone-awry" story like mine in #12 or that depicted in the title photo essay!
