Just flashed up as a graphic on Fox News Channel. I assume this means WHEN our special forces get Usama bin Laden in custody they can have a nice, quick, easy trial...and then execute him. (After a lengthy questioning period, no doubt.) Am I wrong?

I believe you are correct. No ACLU involved.
Don't mess with Texas.
To: Recovering_Democrat
That's what I thought too.

Don't need no stinking trials. Kill em all, even if their hands go up in the air. Don't forget 9-11. Never, ever, forget! Never!

I suppose they brought defense counsel with them.

Hopefully, you're right.Just quite recently a columnist-can't remember which one-suggested this which was done I believe by FDR during WWII regarding people caught in the US spying for the Nazis. This is good news, probably confirms we're close to capturing some folks alive.

Preparing to tie up loose ends of al Qaeda in A'stan. Johnny Cochrane had better hurry over there. If the goat don't fit, you must acquit!

U.S. Military Justice is pretty much the same as civilian.

It means niceties such as constitutional rights are not an issue. Military justice is considered outside the constitutional framework. I assume this may also be applicable to the "uncooperative" "material witnesses" currently being held. Allows for more effective persuasion, I surmise.

They have no choice but to kill Bin Laden. He will be turned into a bigger martyr than he already is if he goes to trial. Kill him and be done with him. That is what the Israelis do and it works!
