[history]
FAYETTEVILLE, NC -- Around 9:30 a.m. Friday, a motel employee at StudioPlus Deluxe Studios found a sealed plastic container in a rest room. The employee thought it was suspicious, contacted his manager, and they called for emergency respose.
Haz-mat teams and firefighters did an initial test on the container and that test came back positive. Then, they did two more screenings and both of those tests came back positive for anthrax as well.

I'm not too worried about it.
Seems like if you're not a politician, postal worker or news media these random "weird powder" findings have turned up negative.

Isn't that where the first guy to die, the one from the National Enquirer, was supposedly visiting. North Carolina?
Something is rotten in Denmark, and I suspect that guy from the National Enquirer had something to do with this mess.

You're right about that. And another thing, which I hope the locals have the brains to do, is that these public facilities HAVE to be cleaned at given intervals and the person doing the cleaning is REQUIRED to sign when the place was cleaned. So you should be able to get a pretty good time frame of exactly when it was left and who was in the motel at the time. Memories are freshest within the first 24 hours following and incident so I hope they are questioning the he|| out of the employees.
So even if it is expected to be nothing, at least they will have done their homework if it turns out legit.

Nice work nctracy!!

oh, contraire. I hope it IS a real hit...investigators ought to have a much easier time tracking someone who was in a hotel room than someone who dropped a letter in a mailbox somewhere in Jersey.
If this is really anthrax, we may have a true break in the case.

I thought it sounded public as well, but I suppose Bubba Bin Laden might have had a brain fart and left it behind in his room.

Maybe the perp was suffering from "flu like symptoms", and in his feverish, stuffy headed, sorethroat, state...simply forgot where he left it.

From my reading, the anthrax was ON the container, not IN it. It could have come in contact with it any number of ways.
I'm hopeful here, but I don't think this proves that whoever had that container was part of the plot. Not yet.

I believe he was visiting his son at Duke University, in Durham. I don't know how far away this is, but I doubt it's related. I think he got exposed in FL. But if this is the home of the 82nd Airborne, then there's a concern. Hope it's a break in the investigation.

Sorry, I should've put this under breaking news. I'm still a newbie at this, for it is like my 3rd post so far. :) This is my first that hasn't been a duplicate, hehe.
I will post more when more information comes up about it.
I'm about 4 miles from where this is happening, so hopefully, the tests are wrong.

What is pretty funny is we've had a series of "false positives" in the US (Reno, Nevada letter from Malaysia, the Honolulu resume, etc.) and also abroad (Brazil, Bahamas, Kenya, etc.) but the reports from Pakistan are treated as 100% Gospel truth.
