Why Osama bin Laden Is Leading
Islam To The Scrap Heap Of History

YOWUSA.COM, October 31, 2001
Marshall Masters

Last Monday, Attorney General John Ashcroft announced a second national alert.  Another devastating attack on America by bin Laden is no longer an “if” proposition.   America is now one front in a 2-front war and bin Laden knows our weaknesses all too well.  As we eliminate those weaknesses, we will also reduce his strengths.  In the meantime, he and other radical Muslim fanatics will create so much death and destruction in the world, that the very name of “Islam” will become the most feared symbol of xenophobic hatred and violent intolerance in the history of mankind.  And so in the coming millennium, when mankind creates immense arks to carry our species to the stars, Islam will intentionally be left behind.

This is why the followers of bin Laden are so eager to be martyrs.  Deep in their psyche they know that the culture of Islam, once the flower of technology, is steadily de-evolving and doomed to oblivion by its own acts.

Yes, the majority of Islam is peace loving, but so were the majority of Germans before Hitler came to power.  Hitler and his henchmen represented a minority of the country, but they were a violent and irrepressible minority, who gained power through their violence and hatred.

In the final analysis, the Nazis were responsible for the violent deaths of tens of millions of innocent people and combatants, and the atrocities they committed in their death camps has become an indelible stain on the German people.  It is a shame that haunts those who survived WWII as well as those born afterwards.

If Hitler had been able to build atomic bombs, he would have used his rockets to level New York and London and this would have only been the beginning.  It was fortunate for us that he was stopped in time.  Now, over a half-century later, Osama bin Laden has reawakened the Nazi tradition of seething violence and blind hatred – and he has the weapons that Hitler coveted.

According to reliable arms control observers, bin Laden does control weapons of mass destruction and it is very likely that he will use them.  If he does, the next attack it will go far beyond the consequences of Anthrax in the mail.  The next time, we’ll be facing the use of nuclear bombs and horrific plagues.  The result is that not just tens of millions will die as in WWII at the hands of the Nazis.  No, this time it will be the hundreds of millions, and perhaps billions if one believes in prophecy.

No matter who delivers the most devastating deathblows to come, mankind will always remember that the seed of this terrible death was born from within the faith of Islam and for this Islam shall never be forgiven.  All across the globe, mankind will remember what shall be called the great Islamic death and that such horror must never happen again.

Were Islam to rise up on its own and take responsibility for bin Laden and to take care of matters on their own without the intercession of the West, they could avoid this tombstone of shame that will follow all future generations of Islam to the grave. However, like the middle class in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power, they will most likely allow a small but violent segment of their own culture to seal their fate forever.  What a terrible pity this will be for all the kind and gentle people of Islam.  What a shame.

Why Are They Doing This?

Since September 11, 2001, America has racked its brains trying to understand why well-educated Islamic fundamentalists would want to turn civilian airliners into flying bombs so as to kill thousands of innocent people.   Now that we are compelled to stem the tide of Islamic terror, we’re cautioned by one of the world most deadly Islamic leaders if not the most deadly, the man who promised us the Mother of All Wars a decade ago.

CNN, October 30, 2001
Hussein: War may spread, set 'world on fire'
In a letter addressed to the "people and governments of the West, including the United States," Hussein called the military action in Afghanistan a spark that could set "the world on fire."
"The world now needs to abort the U.S. aggressive schemes, including its aggression on the Afghan people, which must stop," the Iraqi leader said.
Hussein's letter also alluded to recent anthrax attacks in the United States. The New York Times and The Washington Post reported last week that only the United States, the former Soviet Union and Iraq possessed the necessary technology to make the high-grade, advanced anthrax powder mailed to, among others, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-South Dakota.

Even if we do get Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein is clearly expressing his willingness to pick up his battle flag should he fall and he could present an ever worse danger to the world than bin Laden.  Yet, no matter who causes the most death, it will be Islam that will be forever blamed for opening a Pandora’s box of death and suffering.  But “why, why, why,” we keep asking ourselves?

Our Reader Steve Carpenter: We Were Attacked On Sept. 11 With A Savagery Not Seen Since The Nazis
Hello, Pravda readers,
I write for the second time in four months from the Los Angeles area.
To be frank, we here are waiting here in L.A. for the other shoe to drop, for a suitcase nuke or poisoned water or for the massive earthquake we've been waiting for, for years. It feels to me like it did when I was a teenager, when we were hiding under our desks in school and waiting for the USSR to blow us to bits with an accidental launch.  We’re storing water and food and praying.
I write because once again I see so many anti-American letters to the editor from Americans. Maybe democrats and liberals write to Pravda because they're thinking all the time - well, I'm a conservative who worked for McCain but then voted for Bush. I wish the rest of the world could come to L.A. for a while and let me drive them around for a while. Maybe they'd understand that America is not trying to take over the world or steal mid-eastern oil, etc. We're trying to play guitar and raise babies and make a living. We were attacked on Sept. 11 with a savagery not seen since the Nazis. We're scared and angry and hurt. No matter what our foreign policy may have been in decades past, we are a good country at heart.

What is interesting about Mr. Carpenter’s open letter to Russia is that during WWII, 413,000 American civilians and combatants died, as compared with 29 million for Russia. Consequently, it is safe to say that the Russian people understand the consequences of maniacs like Bin Laden, better than most Americans and this is most likely why they have allied themselves with us.  Yet, like most of us, they never imagined that anything like 9-11 could ever happen to America.

When we think of catastrophic death on the scale of a city, names like Hiroshima and Dresden come to mind. Yet, the one city that endured the most horrific loss of human life during WWII was Leningrad (St. Petersburg). During the 900-day siege on the city, people ate sawdust and some practiced cannibalism.  What little food that could be trucked into the city across Lake Ladoga during the winter months of the siege arrived in the back of American made, lend-lease Studebaker trucks.

When visiting the museums of St. Petersburg, you cannot help but notice the pictures of those who continued their jobs of preserving the past, as they slowly starved to death. They could not fight the Nazis with their own hands, so they fought back by continuing their work and fell dead at their desks from starvation.  This was true courage, and if we could reach back in time they would tell that no reason on Earth could ever justify such brutality even though maniacal killers like Hitler and Osama bin Laden will offer up platefuls of them to a peaceful world hungry for reason.

There was no reason in what happened on 9-11, only raw malevolence.  Yet, a “moderate” Saudi prince offers witnessed the aftermath of 9-11 and offers us sympathy money while in the same breath telling us that the reason why these Islamic fundamentalists attacked America, is that they resent America’s strong support of Israel.  Fine, let the truth be known.  America supports Israel, and Saudi Arabia has also supported Osama Bin Laden as well, and under the noses of the Clinton administration.

USA TODAY, October 28, 1999
Saudi money aiding terrorist bin Laden
WASHINGTON - More than a year after the U.S. Embassy bombings in East Africa, prominent businessmen in Saudi Arabia continue to transfer tens of millions of dollars to bank accounts linked to indicted terrorist Osama bin Laden, senior U.S. intelligence officials told USA TODAY.
The money transfers which began more than five years ago, have been used to finance several terrorist acts by bin Laden, including the attempted assassination in 1995 of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Ethiopia, the officials said.
The businessmen, who are worth more than $5 billion, are paying bin Laden "protection money" to stave off attacks on their businesses in Saudi Arabia, intelligence officials said. Bin Laden, whose family runs the largest Saudi construction firm, has called for the overthrow of the Saudi government.
The money transfers were discovered in April after the royal family ordered an audit of NCB and its founder and former chairman, Khalid bin Mahfouz, U.S. officials say. Mahfouz is now under "house arrest" at a military hospital in the Saudi city of Taif, intelligence officials said.
His successor, Mohammad Hussein Al-Amoudi, also heads the Capital Trust Bank in New York and London, which U.S. and British officials are investigating for allegedly transferring money to bin Laden. Amoudi's Washington lawyer, Vernon Jordan, could not be reached for comment.

Perhaps Vernon (oh why did you do it Monica) Jordan will write YOWUSA a poison pen letter for saying this, but isn’t it odd that Saudis seem to have the nerve to tell us not to offend their sensibilities even as they continue to “investigate” the ongoing flow of cash to Bin Laden's group, al Qaeda from wealthy Saudis?

Aside from the fact that OPEC is jacking up the price of oil while stock markets around the world are falling, let’s take a hard look at the real Saudi response to bin Laden through the eyes of a child.

YOWUSA NATIONS SIG Mail List
Mikha'el ben Mosheh, October 25, 2001
Ask a ten year old about anything. They neither wish to patronize you nor seek your patronization. They merely call it like they see it.
Case in point. My 10-year old daughter and I were walking somewhere and she spied a bucket of sand.
She said; "Do you know what THAT is?"
I said; "No. What is it?"
She said; "It's a crash helmet for an Ostrich!"

Wake up America, this whole line of anti-American and anti-Jewish reasoning is specious bunk. The Saudis are running around with buckets of sand and dodging their own responsibility by blaming everyone else for the creation of this new fanatical Saudi madman.  This is absurd when you consider that with all the money America is paying for their oil, Saudi Arabia could buy the whole nation of Islam out of petty cash and still have enough left over to turn it into a Texas-sided version of Disneyland.

Of course this does bring an intriguing if not humorous “what if” question to mind.  Imagine this: Saddam Hussein calls President Bush and offers him a deal he can’t refuse.  If America agrees to pull out of Saudi Arabia and lets Iraq conquer them unopposed, Saddam will deliver bin Laden’s head on a platter to Washington; leave everyone else alone, including Israel; and will sell America and England all the Saudi oil they want for  $10 a barrel till the place goes dry.  (Given the flak the French always give America, let them go find their own damn oil!)

Given the condescending antics of our fair weather allies in Saudi Arabia, lately, shouldn’t we take the offer? Admit it, we’d really have to think this one over and Bush would probably be shrewd enough to take it, providing he felt he could hold Saddam’s feet to the fire.  If it were Cheney’s call to make, he’d take the deal in the New York minute.  You betcha!

But enough of this deflective Saudi doubletalk folks!  Let’s get the gist of it shall we?

Immediately following 9-11, Jeane Kirkpatrick, former United States Ambassador To The United Nations was interviewed on Fox TV.  Regrettably, she didn’t get to say much because of the dim-witted pundits clamoring for the camera’s attention with their shallow observations.  However, when she did manage to get a word in edgewise, it came in the shape of a pithy and brilliant insight. She said, “this is a clash of cultures,” and this is the real truth of it!  Thank God there are still people in the country like Jeane Kirkpatrick, with the guts and the smarts to call things as they are.

Folks, what is really going on here is a clash between the ongoing evolution of Western culture and the continuing de-evolution of the Islamic culture.

Out of Africa

Modern man is a direct decedent of Cro-Magnon man, and for a period of roughly 3-4 million years, Cro-Magnon and Neanderthals coexisted in relative peace. (Let’s see the U.N. top that one!)

It is believed that Cro-Magnon man first appeared in what is now Kenya, Africa, and that we’ve been walking the Earth ever since.  Neanderthals, which are now extinct lived primarily in Europe and were ideally suited to the physical hardships of an Ice Age climate.

Before jumping to a premature conclusion, this article is not suggesting that Islam or anyone of Arabic or Persian backgrounds are modern day Neanderthals.  They’re not!  However, the reason why Neanderthals are extinct now does form a direct parallel with modern day Islam in terms of its de-evolution.

The oddest thing about Neanderthals is how we regard them today.  We use term “Neanderthals” in a pejorative sense with teases like “missing link” and “knuckle dragger.”  Oddly enough, this misconception could not be further from the truth, as is evidence by these three simple facts:

With their larger braincase capacity and similarities with Cro-Magnon, why did the Neanderthals go extinct?  An interesting answer comes from President Bush’s own home State of Texas.

University of Texas at Houston, 1996
Extinction of Neanderthals
Kathleen Gibson, Ph.D., professor of basic science at the Dental Branch, has developed a new theory about the decline and extinction of Neanderthals. (Photo by Russell Wylie. Copyright 1996 The University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center)
In her paper, "The Biocultural Human Brain, Seasonal Migrations, and the Emergence of the Upper Paleolithic," Gibson applies, for the first time, comparative data on primate and human cognition to an analysis of the fossil and archeological record. These data suggest that "both Neanderthals and early anatomically modern humans would have possessed an essentially modern cognitive suite," meaning that they had comparable "interacting, mutually reinforcing neurological capacities."  The developing human brain is "biocultural" because manifestations of human intelligence vary greatly in accordance with cultural input.
Although Neanderthals and modern humans were distinct populations for at least 60,000 or 70,000 years, perhaps longer, they had shared three to four million years of evolutionary history. Comparable brain size and structure, and the ability to make more complex tools, provide evidence that the cognitive abilities of the two groups were very similar. What set the two groups apart was a technological and a social revolution, not a biological one, Gibson said.

The key point in Gibson’s theory is that our evolution is a "biocultural" process, where technology and sociology are the evolutionary factors – and not just the biology of genetics.   This theory leads us to a key difference between Western culture and Islamic culture in the context of an evolutionary extinction.

ENCYCLOPEDIA.COM, 2001
Cro-Magnon man
The sudden appearance of modern Homo sapiens and upper Paleolithic technologies, and the absence of transitional anatomical or technological forms have led most researchers to conclude that Neanderthals were driven to extinction through competition with Cro-Magnon or related populations. Greater linguistic competence and cultural sophistication are often suggested as characteristics tilting the competitive balance in favor of upper Paleolithic groups. Finely crafted stone and bone tools, shell and ivory jewelry, and polychrome paintings found on cave walls all testify to the cultural advancement of Cro-Magnon man.

Cro-Magnon walked out of Africa and to all four corners of the globe.  In the process, they were forced to find ways of adapting to different climates and food sources, and with each adaptation came a new culture and a new way for modern man to ensure his foothold on this Earth.

For example, after crossing through central Asia, Cro-Magnon used the temporary appearance of the land bridge between Siberia and Alaska to enter the Americas.  We tend to think that we invented frequent flyer miles in the last century, but the fact is that Cro-Magnon man beat us to it (except they used to call them frequent walker miles.)

But while Cro-Magnon was racking up frequent walker miles, Neanderthals basically stayed in Europe and thereby froze their own evolution.  Did they die off as the result of a Cro-Magnon ethnic cleansing, or did they simply fade away?  Only history knows.

So what does this all boil down to anyway, and how does it relate to Islam?

The De-evolution of Islam

The Neanderthals didn’t really have a choice.  They simply stayed put, till they finally lost at the game of evolutionary roulette along with the other 99% of all species to have ever existed.  Islam on the other hand does have a choice and sadly enough it is choosing to suppress its evolution, thereby putting it into conflict with cultures that welcome it.

To put this in a different perspective, let’s pretend that we’re watch military parades on TV.

The point here is that the dominant Muslim states are technology importers.  After all, when was the last time you bough an Iraqi stereo, a Saudi hair dryer, or a Sudanese PC?

Yet, take a Muslim out of the Middle East and put HER in the Silicon Valley and what you’ve got is one heck of a talented software engineer!  Take that same brilliant engineer and move HER to Afghanistan and you’ve got is a totally wasted, abused and miserably unhappy human being.

What is completely insane about this is that at its height, Islam established many of the foundations upon which our present technological evolution exists.  We may think that cataract operations are a marvel of modern science but the fact is that Muslim physicians were successfully performing painless cataract operations hundreds of years ago!

In the final analysis, Islam is not at war with Western culture. Islam is at war with itself and we’ve simply gotten in the way of those pulling it towards an implosive de-evolution.  Consequently, they are transferring all their frictional anger at us instead of pulling themselves up by the evolutionary bootstraps and getting on with the survival of the species.

Western Cultures Will Win
Because They Are Evolving

Osama bin Laden has been able to hurt us because we are an open and democratic country and our own commitment to progress for mankind is what makes us vulnerable – not our morality and certainly not our allies!

The last time a nation mistook our good nature as a sign of cowardice was on December 7, 1941 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.   Islam would be advised to weigh heavily the timeless words of the man who led the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Admiral Yamamoto, December 7, 1941
Commander in Chief of the Imperial Combined Fleet
Imperial Japanese Navy
We have awakened a sleeping giant and have instilled in him a terrible resolve.

That attack Yamamoto led spelled the doom for the Japanese as well as the Nazis who came to their side and declared war on America.  Germany and Japan were reduced to ashes and it has taken them two generations to recover. They’ve had their fill of war, and of underestimating the terrible resolve of a powerful democracy such as America.

America Is Happening, Islam Is Not

At the height of its technological prowess, Muslim women and secular scholars were treated with deference. Islamic societies in those days were far more open and tolerant than those of today.

In the same vein, America has created the most powerful technology culture in the history of man. We’ve turned away from intolerance and through accepting one another we have unleashed a creative dynamo that has resulted in a flood of persons with intellect around the globe, lining up at our embassies in hopes of securing an entry visa to work or learn in this country. This is why America is what is happening now in terms of making progress for mankind – not Islam.

America is an open society with a real commitment to freedom and tolerance and it is in our blood as well as our history.  This is why we are leading the world in the development of innovative new technologies and backing that up with the ability to make it happen!

Saudi madmen and princes may laugh at us now, but the fact is that fuel cell technology is now becoming a reality in America, and it offers us a sure way to sever our dependence on Saudi oil as well as Saudi hypocrisy.  Let them laugh then as their economies begin to make Ross Perot-like “sucking sounds.”

America is special because it is both a noble and highly successful experiment in the history of mankind. Rather than emerging from the dark ages of feudal lords and theocracies, the America nation was forged by the most brilliant collection of political scientists ever assembled at one time in the history of mankind.  We are a marvelous and remarkable people no matter what any two-bit technology importer with a few bucks has to say.

America, we are beautiful – warts and all!  So, do not let madmen and demagogues in foreign lands diminish our sense of sense because of their own failings.  And for that matter, let’s also ignore the pompous self-righteous fools in Berkeley, CA who refuse to abandon their Vietnam-era mantras and are so out of touch with the dangerous realities of our present times, that it boggles the mind.

America is Fighting for
the Future of Mankind

We know that Earth is a nice cool green marble of a world, in what is a violent universe, and that extinction events are nature’s routine way of stirring up a little evolution from time to time. Therefore, mankind must travel to the stars if it to survive. Proof of that fact is the Neanderthal. They remained in one geographic area and stayed virtually the same until their extinction.  (This took planning?)

On the other hand, our Cro-Magnon forefathers, asked the question, “ah heck, why don’t we see what’s over the next hill just for fun” time-and-again until we spread across the face of the entire planet in search of frequent walker mile awards.  To paraphrase Crocodile Dundee, we Cro-Magnon men took the mother of all walkabouts, and that is why there are now six billion of us now and counting.

If modern man is to evolve and survive, we must continue to follow the lead set for us by our Cro-Magnon forefathers, and do everything we can to find new homes across the breadth of our galaxy.  To do this, we need technology and the best way to develop that technology is with open, democratic societies where tolerance is a true goal of the people and where men and women from all walks of life, come together to work together as equals so as ensure the existence of our race by building the technologies needed for star travel and migration.

Islam, Wake Up And Choose!

In the meantime, the coming future will be a time of great death and tribulation as prophecy tells us. It will be a time of choosing for Islam.  If things do not change quickly, Osama Bin Laden will make the choice for them and silent majority of Islam will just let it happen, much in the same as silent majority of Germans allowed the Nazis to decide their fate for them as well.

The net result is that Osama bin Laden and his army of de-evolutionary radicals will bring a great time of death and dying to Western cultures by using the very openness we’ve used to create technology against us.  In the end, we will suffer a terrible amount of pain and untold millions will die as prophecy warns.

In the process, Osama bin Laden and his army of de-evolutionary radicals will continue to be technology importers while Western cultures will turn their attention to the technological development of new and even more deadly weapons in the face of horrifying danger.  Like a mother protecting her child from a mad axe murder, America will set aside its soft demeanor and turn upon the Islamic terrorists and their supporters with an incredible vengeance.  In the end, much of Islam will be destroyed – the violent along with the peaceful.

There will come a time of rebuilding, and mankind will have had enough of war and death.  We will seek harmony, and we will find our way to the stars.  In the process, we will only take with us that which we know works and that which we know can lead us to harmony.

What we will know about Islam is that while most of its practitioners were peaceful, the culture of Islam self-imploded with a catastrophic and violent de-evolution that brought pain and suffering to the world.  Then, mankind will look at Islam as a semi-sweet forbidden fruit with a bitter seed that is best left to rot on the infertile soil of Earth, while the rest of mankind travels to the stars.  The motto will be, “if it’s broke, leave it,” and this will be the last will and testament of Islam.

Islam, you are at the precipice of your destiny.  Osama bin Laden and his army of de-evolutionary radicals are born of your own bitter seed.   If you let this madman choose for you, mankind will bury you in order to survive and your culture and your heritage will surely be cast upon the scrap heap of history and forgotten.

Either Islam will go through the same civilizing process in the 21st century that Christianity went through in the 16th-17th, or its adherents will be permanently left behind as a sort of reservation held under guard by the civilized world. Their choice.

Oh? What resource are you quoting? And if you have a good resource, what does the resource rely upon for this factual statement? Did the Cro-Mags train and use the Neans for their pets, farm animals and the like? Or like animals in the wild did they get along with each other like a cat and a dog living in the same house? Did they understand each other? Did they communicate with each other? Did the Neans cry when they realized that the Cro-Mags were the chosen ones to carry out the evolution of mankind?

I think it's more complicated than that. Christianity was never violent: during first few centuries of persecution, the only people who were persecuted and suffered and died were the Christians themselves. Islam started out by attacking other peoples, and it was not Muslims who died, but Christians, Jews and even pagans, in the process of forcible conversion by Islam.

During the centuries after it became established in Europe, Christianity constantly battled with the powers of the State, which always wanted to take it over and sometimes did (witness Henry VIII). However, Christian philosophers gave considerable thought to this matter, and a very clear distinction was made between the powers and sphere of the spiritual rulers and that of the secular rulers. Naturally, human nature being what it is, and the temptation to power being what it is, both sides frequently exceeded their limits. But fundamentally, Christianity is not meant to replace the secular government, rulers or legal system. Islam, on the other hand, is meant to do all of these things.

The bourgeois revolution that was the Reformation was the culmination of centuries of Christian thought about free will, the empowerment of the individual, and even the status of women. Islam, on the other hand, does not have the theoretical foundation to even consider these matters.

The supposed moments of glory of Islamic culture all came when Muslims had overrun other cultures and before they had extinguished the genius of those particular cultures: the law and philosophy and mathematics of the Near East and what was left of Roman civilization. In fact, in some cases, such as that of Spain, the initial Muslim invaders (from the caliphates) were ousted by other, more radical and more literalist Muslims (Berbers from North Africa) who regarded the former group as too liberal.

I think that in many was, the analysis we read above was a good one. But I think that there are other issues, fundamental to Islam itself and not to a "corruption" of it, that are behind the crisis we are facing today.

Christianity was never violent

au contrare.

You need to recheck your history. Christians have been plenty violent. One good example that's very appropriate are the Crusades. The sole purpose was to wipe out non-Christians.

I have no doubt that every Muslim is still taught about how evil the Christians were during the crusades. It helps keep the hate alive.

The sole purpose was to wipe out non-Christians.***

Not true. The purpose was to regain control of the "Holy Land" which had been overrun by Muslims. Christianity has never (except perhaps arguably the Inquisition, an anti-Christian action if ever there was one) conquered by the sword.

Dear lady, please read your history again. You can start here to remediate your knowledge deficit. The Crusades were a defensive war against a jihad-bent Muslim society that had already overwhelmed North Africa and the entire Middle East. Compared to what the Muslims did, were doing, and later did some more right up into the 20th century, the Crusades were a blip on the radar of history. The more amazing thing is that so many people strain at a Crusader gnat and swallow the Muslim camel.

No kidding? I knew she has been missing for years but never heard what happened to her. Who killed her and son, and why?

No matter who delivers the most devastating deathblows to come, mankind will always remember that the seed of this terrible death was born from within the faith of Islam and for this Islam shall never be forgiven. All across the globe, mankind will remember what shall be called the great Islamic death and that such horror must never happen again.

I agree. Few religions promote as much fanaticism and subjugation as does Islam. Their history is riddled with the vicious murders of non-Muslim and Jews. Few areas of the world have not suffered as a result of Islamic aggression and imperialism.

Never mind the who and why question. Didn't fully read your answer the first time. Thanks for info. Suppose the transient is in jail now?

My point was to basically say using the term "never" in reference to Christians having killed is incorrect.

I'm hardly one to defend Islam. But the Christians weren't without fault during the Crusades, either.
