Sorry Jeffey (and we know you LURK here), but the RIGHT man was inaugurated on January 20, 2001. I shudder to think how a President Gore would now be handling the events of 9-11. Also ALL the recounts of the Florida votes showed Bush as the winner. Funny how Jeffey shows no outrage over the fact that the polls in St. Louis were ILLEGALLY kept open past the Missouri closing time on election day (and cost Ashcroft his Senate seat).
The REAL bad news for Jeffey is that because of Bush's great leadership demonstrated since 9-11, folks don't want to buy yet another crybaby book by a liberal about how Gore should have won.
Anyway, I know you're lurking out there, Jeffey so I hope you don't make too big of a messy-poo in your diaper over the fact that your book will soon be appearing on the shelves of the Dollar Stores.

Toobin is an absolute joke.
(1) Every one knows that the hand inspection of ballots is completely arbitrary and subjective.
(2) Everybody knows that the networks interfered with the election by calling it early.
(3) Everybody knows that certain states, like Missouri, Wisconsin and Oregon had some very sketchy polling practices going on.
(4) Everybody knows that Gore tried to disqualify our servicemen's votes.
Democratic machine practices tainted this election from top to bottom. Bush won, fair and square. All else is arbitrary special pleading.

If you recount enough times, you will eventually get the numbers you want. But the thing is, the inauguration was January 20, so the recounts are mute. Sort of like recounting today the Kennedy-Nixon election of 40 years ago. Answer: Ok, but it doesn't matter now.

Anybody that would waste their time writing a book about this topic is so biased in favor of Gore. Why bother?
To: PJ-Comix
It wouldn't have been as close as it was were it not for the massive corruption of democrat poll workers. Bush would have had Michigan if the Democrat machine in Wayne county didn't manufacture the votes Gore needed to win. Same thing in Florida.

Does this nut really want Al Gore, at a time like this?

"your book will soon be appearing on the shelves of the Dollar Stores." Agree wholeheartedly. And probably stacked up at that. Who will want to buy this book now? I know I won't.

"The wrong man was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2001, and this is no small thing in our nation's history," Mr. Toobin ultimately writes. "The bell of this election can never be unrung, and the sound will haunt us for some time."I think the American people would disagree with that assumption right about now. Algore won't forget the fact that he got HIS bell rung, and his trouble is largely of his own making with his behavior during those weeks of the 'recounts'.
I don't know about y'all, but the outcome of the election has never haunted me! Although I'm sure there are lots of folks who have had nightmares recently about what it might be like with GORE in charge right now

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
F Toobin, that DEM shill that he is. W is in the White House, that is all that matters.
To: PJ-Comix
Look at the bright side: when this book tanks, and it will, think of how much more difficult it will be for Toobin to sleaze another bit of his liberal trash past the editors!
GO W.!

Did they take into account the effect of Florida humidity on the tensile strength of the ballots? The sharpness/dullness ratio of different styli in different booths? The fact that multiple handling through recounts may have caused additional perforation failure where no vote was intended? C'mon get over it already.
