Enough is enough. There have been at least 77 threads today that reference anthrax or powder. This does not include any threads that were pulled. Who knows how many those were.

Is this necessary? Do you really feel we are doing justice to Free Republic with this nonsense? Does everyone have to be the one to break the latest "a friend of a friend of a friend's cousin's mother-in-law's niece's friend's boss knows someone who heard white powder was found on a loaf of bread?"

I found some white powder in my kitchen this morning!!! Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to react quickly.

I added milk, water, lard and eggs and turned it into a dough that I baked into bisquits.

Thanks..I agree completely. This is just fueling the fires of hysteria. How many actual confirmed cases of anyone actually CONTRACTING anthrax? 99 percent of these exposures will be treated and they will get over it. We've had one death so far, from inhaled anthrax. This is getting out of hand. There are alot of sick people out there sending envelopes full of harmless white powder just for a sick joke. If the terrorists are trying to kill off a large number of people they are doing a pee poor job of it.

I agree but it happens all the time. Too many people think they are the only ones to read Drudge or Newsmax. The same exact articles are posted continually. Too bad, no doubt there are some cogent comments that get deleted.

The most amazing thing in all of it for me was learning there were 40 people working in one of Daschle's office. Do all these clowns have a staff that size? What a waste.

You're right. Rumors at this time are very counter-productive. Not only does it in many cases assist spreading terror for no reason, it also could in the worst cases impede investigation of incidents.
