If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

Fred is not lost. He did some time in detox after being pulled behind us from New Zealand to the Marquesas to the Galapagos, but he is in fine shape now. He is currently hovered over the barbie preparing lunch for us.

You have to sympathize with the Houston sports fan. The only bright spot for the last 20 years have been the Houston Rockets, but that only lasted a few years.

My sister is flying in from WA state on a plane, and NO her arms are not tired! My 7 yr old daughter is learning the Presidents of the US in school, she has been memorizing not only their names, but dates of office and their accomplishments (or in Clinton's case, well, well just leave it at his legacy). Anyway, she came up to me the other morning and told me she thought McDonald's has had to be around for about 100 years, and so I asked her why. She thought it was named after the president at that time who was in office. She said it was named after President Ronald McReagan.

In a way, I liked it better when the Braves sucked... I'd go to 2 or 3 games a year and would always get good seats and it was a big thrill when they actually won one! Now, they're expected to win so its a letdown when they don't.

You guys (Houston) have got a good team... a lot of teams would like to have gone to the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. We'll probably see you guys there next year. Stick with 'em because every team (except the Cubs & Red Sox) is due to win it all eventually!

They showed this big guy with a baseball bat banging on the affected member to relieve the pressure.
