SPECIAL EDITION

The President addressed the nation this evening, and once again assured the American public and the world that it is our intention to bring the 'evil-doers' to justice. He also reassured the citizens of the United States that their government is doing everything within its power to track down any leads regarding possible terrorist activiy in the US. Bush also announced a new initiative for the nation's children to help the children of Afghanistan. Children can send one dollar to the White House and that money, via the Red Cross, will go toward helping the children of Afghanistan. Earlier in the day, the President attended a memorial service for those whose lives were lost at the Pentagon one month ago. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

oh I know you know she was wrong--it was more a general statement than one at you. :-D

Are you KIDDING? If Dr. Laura even hinted that God put him in office, I'm sure the protest-peaceniks-ACLU-lovers would be all over her like a duck on a june bug. She'd lose advertisers for sure. Heaven forbid she should say what she feels. Sheesh. I really feel bad for her. I think the negative publicity she has received has changed her.

Thank You God for President Bush, thank You, thank You. Yes, let's continue to cover him and his family in prayer. If any in this thread has not done so before, please join in praying for our President daily and as many times as Holy Spirit will bring him to your remembrance. The press conference was absolutely phenomenal; one of those wow moments was when President Bush said he would meet with the palestinian leader only for real solutions, not just for:"empty photo opportunities". Yeah, oh yeah, the adults are in charge, the called ones are in the White House, vive la difference, what a change, glory to God forever. Thank you Rintense, every night we view your postings, we are grateful for your labor of love.

That means there's some serious you-know-what going on that we're blissfully ignorant not to know.

NO,NO, My husband is seriously stationed in the Washington military and he laughed all through dinner tonight. Darlin, it ain't there.

Our leaders are not infallible but I really think this group would die for us. (As oppossed to the last group that would step on your fingers if you were gripping on the edge of 30 story building and after you fell they would tell the public you were VRWC!)

If the DNC was in charged, I'd be in Montana. The RNC is in charge, so tonight I'll curl up with a good book in my cozy bed.

Thank you for sharing that wonderful story with us. It just does my heart good to hear that the President is on his knees asking for wisdom from God. So touching that he asked them to pray especially for Laura and the girls.
When I think about all he knows that we don't, and the great burden that is on him to lead this nation in war, I am amazed to hear how well he is doing.
You are certainly blessed to have the Pastor you have! He is wonderful!

Agaiin, kitkat, I think Dr. Laura is not telling a whole truth regarding GWB. By saying she voted for the lesser of two evils, she gets herself off the hook for admitting she voted for him. Did she give any reason as to why she felt he was a lesser evil??? I am getting very, very disillusioned with Dr. Laura.

You know, Dubya did seem a bit distant when he first began, as if his mind was elsewhere. After reading that thread about the intercepted communique, I am certain he got some pretty horrifying news. He had the same look on his face as he did the morning of Sept. 11th when the he was informed of the second plane crash into the WTC.

Nothing has rattled me since Sept 11th- but if that communique is true, God help us all.

RWP,???????......... how did you like the way Dubya handled Helen Thomas?, Ari must have been giggling his ass off, she was laughed out of the house when Dubya put her in her place.

I Loved it :-)

UGH. Helen Thomas needs to be sold for glue. It's so cruel to let horses live that old. I couldn't believe the foolish reporter who asked, 'will you explain to us why you and VP Cheney are being kept separate?' Someone should have shoved a history book in her face. Sheesh. Has she no clue about military strategy? She asked the dumbest question of the night.

I love it when he called the "terrists" (isn't that cute?) thugs and parasites! LOL

My husband and I both laughed out loud when he said that!

I don't think anyone thinks of him as an "empty suit" anymore, do you? His gravitas is jumping out all over the place, as far as I'm concerned!

What a bunch of fools they were, anyway! And very few have admitted they were WRONG about him!

Thank you for giving us this thread. There were so many beautifully written posts tonight expressing the feelings so well that we all have. I read all of them and at post #25 Lawgirl expressed it all so well I made a note to post a thank you to her, and then they just kept coming from everyone. Bless you all.

You know the ceremony today and The Battle Hymn of the Republic would touch any heart, but it is magnified to President Bush because of his burden and too, he like me, was responding to the words about Christ and what He was doing. I wish someone could post the words to it. Bush is God's man to accomplish things we have no idea of but, we can see His miracles everyday, and it is wonderful knowing our President is guided and protected every hour by The Living God and Jesus Christ. Wow, we are so fortunate to be at this place and time.

A local guy in San Diego stated tonight that several of Gore's people have made public statements to the effect that they are happy GW is President - not because they wish bad things for Bush, but because they felt Bush was better qualified to handle this situation.

Is this amazing or what?? Gore's own people didn't believe he could have handled this situation!
