SPECIAL EDITION

The President addressed the nation this evening, and once again assured the American public and the world that it is our intention to bring the 'evil-doers' to justice. He also reassured the citizens of the United States that their government is doing everything within its power to track down any leads regarding possible terrorist activiy in the US. Bush also announced a new initiative for the nation's children to help the children of Afghanistan. Children can send one dollar to the White House and that money, via the Red Cross, will go toward helping the children of Afghanistan. Earlier in the day, the President attended a memorial service for those whose lives were lost at the Pentagon one month ago. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I am so glad God spared Laura in all of this (probably a big thanks to the heroes of flight 93)- I cannot imagine if he'd lost her- his stalwart- in the midst of all of this. It just amazes me to see him taking on the pain of our country upon himself.

I can't seem to figure out this new thread style? Is it still evolving??? Anyhow, caught the President- he was incredible. And the photos from the memorial service are truly memorable. What an incredible man we have in office.

Note the faithful secret service guy in 39 and 40? The guy in the blue shirt? His eyes are like hawk's eyes, scanning the crowd, even during the prayers. I look for him and monitor how he's doing. God bless him, I'm gonna start praying for that guy every night as well. Maybe start my own thread? "Pray for Secret Service Guy-- Day One"?

Ditto, I recall that it was Billy Graham who saved W's
soul and at that time W said he had a vision or religous
experiance that called him to run for Pres via the Gov of
Texas. This is a blessed man and therefor so are
we. I only wish that Billy Graham had been a
better preacher (tongue in cheek) so that he could have
set W on his mission sooner in life so that we
could have met him sooner! I have supported W for many
years and am bonded with his fate so that his victories
are mine too, I thank him for bringing pride
and inspiration and leadership back to America.
Let's help W's Red Cross children for Afghan program as much as we can!
Thanks RINTENSE, don't ever stop!!! My wife and friends are addicted to A DAY IN THE LIFE!

Click on Old Style! Wow, thanks so much! It is true, you can't teach an old dog new tricks! Appreciate the help! I do like the old format, but can see where this new one would help on long threads! (especially when you get used to it)

I KNOW!! I LOVE that SS guy!! He isn't even waving a flag. I am so glad that our SS guys now have a president they can be proud of serving and who HONORS THEM!!

OHioWfan--totally agree with your post!!

Ladyinred--W just leaves me speechless and at times I find it hard to comprehend he is our president. Sometimes (like tonight) I just think "This has to be a dream!"

I also sobbed during the pentagon service. It was so moving.

Me too! He gets better and better at speaking every day. It's too bad that it took the NYC disaster to bring this to the media's (and other liberals like my mother-in-law's) attention though.

I think GWB has lost noticable weight over being diturbed by all that has happened. (Of course, who wouldn't be?) His face to me looks thinner. What do you good folks think?

I posted this this morning on last night's Dose, but I think it's a story worth repeating, and an incredible testiment to God's working in our PRESIDENT'S life. I got it in an e-mail:

I heard such a wonderful thing at church today that I knew I would have to share it with you all. Most of you already know that our pastor is Max Lucado, a Christian author who is very popular for his many wonderful books about the Lord. This week, Max was invited (along with several other famous preachers) to have lunch at the White House with President Bush. Their meeting took place on Thursday and Max shared with us this morning how it had gone.

As the ministers sat down to lunch and waited for President Bush to appear, Max said that he was expecting him to walk in the room looking tired, serious, and depressed. When the President came in, Max said he looked totally the opposite:

He was energetic, pleasant, and very focused on his talk with the ministers. Max asked President Bush how he could seem so calm and peaceful in the midst of all the tragedy and turmoil. The President's reply was, "I'm feeling stronger now than I've ever been in my life. And the reason is because every person in America is praying for me. When I stay on my knees, that's when I have power."

The ministers then asked the President how he would like them to pray for him, and how their congregations back home should be praying, asked, for wisdom, for clarity of mind so that he could make the very best decisions, and then he asked that we pray specifically for his wife and daughters, for their safety.

I knew that you would be as encouraged as I was to hear about this meeting. We must thank God that we have a President who loves and fears the Lord. No human leader is perfect, but God is perfect, so let's keep President Bush lifted up in prayer before the Father.

Thank you!

I wanted to give you a deep, heart-felt thank you for what you do for us every day. This thread is a real pick-me-up for so many of us in here. I look forward to it every day. It is one thing to hear about what our great President is doing throughout the day, but to see the events unfold in pictures is soothing- comforting, as I have said so many times before

I have been around FR for just a few months now, and I do a lot of lurking, but I do occaisonally post. It struck me today just how much things have changed over the last few months. My wife and I spent much of the summer in Houston with our baby daughter who was born 11 weeks premature. I was so out of touch with the real world, and when we came home, I remember very distinctly listening to Gephardt and Daschle tearing our President up. I thought to myself, "Well, looks like things haven't changed much." What a difference a day makes.

I began coming here by accident, then purposefully searched for the "A Day in the Life..." thread every day. When I finally learned what it meant to be 'pinged,' and, well here I am. I have gotten so much out of this one particular thread day in and day out over the past few months. And again I say Thank You, rintense, for your dedication and devotion to our President and to us. You are very much appreciated.

Thank you for the amazing collection of beautiful photos today. The President put in extraordinary performances today and I can't repeat myself often enough in gratitude that he is the one in charge.
And I'm happy to be back on the PING sequence.

Hi lawgirl, I KNOW Dr. Laura was wrong to think it was luck that gave us George Walker Bush as our president, but I thought that her acknowledgment of his being an "absolutely fabulous leader" on syndicated radio was another blessing from God. I hope it impressed the heck out of her many listeners.

I was very proud of our President tonight. I think he did a great job. And as Cokie said,
the idea of sending money for the Afghani children is "brilliant". I think so too.

I imagine there will be many, many children who will be happy to get involved and send money.

I also thought of the scipture, "Bless those who cuse you. Bless and do not curse", and I decided
that he is right, we can bless them (Afghans)in so few ways, but we should do what we can.

"I have to say, I can not remember anytime in all my life that I have been more impressed with a President"

As a kid I grew up with Eishenhower and Kennedy, then I served in the military under Johnson and Nixon.
President Regan is still a hero to me but President Bush is, in my opinion, THE best I have ever witnessed.

Billy Graham is doing his last crusade right now in Fresno. Please pray for him and the entire group that is there right now laboring for the call of God. I am a little nervous about this, my entire family is there, but God is faithful! Dr. Graham said there was no way he was cancelling this trip for the terrorists! To top it off he broke his foot too!

Speaking of your thanks to rintense, I posted this last night
*********************************************************

rintense, it's been a while since I said "Thank You" and how much I appreciate your efforts in gathering all these pictures, and how much I enjoy your "Daily Dose" threads, I look forward to the pics, comments and laughs almost every night.

A huge portion of your ping list gather here each night and we have witnessed history through these pics you have faithfully posted almost every night. I have over 300 pictures saved to disk and I have you to thank for at least 250 of them, the majority of the remaining pictures I have, I owe a "thank you" to the wonderful patriots who visit your thread and contribute pictures for all of us to share.

After eight years of the past administration I wondered if I would ever regain that sense of pride I used to have for my President, and with the unbelievable events that the country had to endure during the 2000 election controversy I had my doubts it would return.

Through this website, and especially this thread, I have found a renewed sense of patriotism that I have sorely missed since the time Ronald Reagan was my President. Most of us here on your thread have always believed that George W. Bush was a honest and decent man who would deliver on his campaign promises and especially the promise of returning "Honor and Dignity" back to the White House. He did not let us down and we were absolutely correct, but to top it off, we also got a president who is a true leader the likes we havn't seen in many many years.

George W. Bush has done more than deliver on his promises, he has made just about all of his critics have to eat their many mean spirited and disrespectful words, without this President ever once asking or demanding an apoligy, he just brushed off his critics and moved on. These are the things that make a great leader and George W. Bush has become a great leader right before our eyes, not only for America, but for the entire world. And we have all witnessed right here on your wonderful daily thread :-) and............

I Thank You (Republican Warrior Princess) for your time and efforts.

MJY God Bless America
