Functionally it is superior, and never again will we need continuation threads. But aesthetically it does look less appealing. This may just require an adjustment period. I'm willing to give it a few days and see if I still feel the same way.
Drudge is good because he hasn't tinkered with what works. I hope we follow his lead.

Here's where the new format pays off. This thread could easily go to 1000 replies yet it will be easy to keep up with the latest repies (without having to load the entire thread).
As for the Bush press conference, it doesn't seem like any blockbuster announcements. Just your usual press conference (not that there's anything wrong with that).
