WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Angered at leaks from classified briefings, President Bush ordered key department heads last week to restrict their briefings of members of Congress to the four major leaders and the chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, sources told CNN on Monday.

So hard to teach respect of the rights of others to our Congress and media. Go Bush - treat them like the children they are. They will cry and stomp their feet and demand to know for the freedom of the press - but hold your ground.
I think he also knows that some in the Congress are indeed the enemy within.

The only solution is to share less and/or limit the circle.

Anyone have any ideas who couldn't keep their mouth shut?

Uh, Gary Condit, maybe?
To: ClancyJ
This is what happens when you put people like Gary Condit on intelligence-sensitive committees.

TWO requirements for being privy to classified info:
1. SECURITY CLEARANCE (of course)
2. A NEED TO KNOW!!!
Here is an excellent example of why #2 is imparative.

And if that doesn't stop the leaks...then it will begin to narrow it down. Sounds good to me.

No, this is why the Dems and the media did not want a full declaration of war. These actions would be treason under that declaration. The enemy is now within.

Well, we've sure had a glimpse of Condit's character.
"If it looks like a squeeler and it smells like ..."
Well, we all know that one.

"This morning, I informed the House and Senate leadership of this policy which shall remain in effect until you receive further notice from me," the President said, ending the memo. December, 2004-- O.K., Now that I have won re-election by a landslide you can go back to your media gossip!......G.W.... HA,HA,HE,HE,HE

Congress is the best ally the Taleban ever had.
To: ClancyJ
Problems are Tom, Dick and Nancy. Drop one at a time until the leak is plugged.

I have plenty of ideas - possibly one junior senator who is married to a very interested party. Wonder how much top secret information sells for these days to bin Laden?
Another option is any congressman/woman wanting face time on TV.
We are living with the "me" generation. If someone can gain from the information - they don't care. I have a low opinion of any that would give out classified information and feel it should be mentioned during the next election.

One of the pitfalls of having so few congress folks with military experience. Some just don't see any harm in..., or maybe they do...

Let's not forget "leaky Leahy".

Watch for Bush to spring a "Canary Trap" on these a-holes!
Wanna bet it'll be a democRAT who's got diarrhea of the mouth?
To: ClancyJ
What a bunch of BS. CNN doesn't know anything.
