Information about ongoing or proposed military operations should not even be given to the the four congessional leaders mentioned by Bush. Congress knows what the overall mission is; that's all they need to know. Like another posted mentioned; if there is not both the appropriate security clearance and an absolute need to know, that person should be kept ot of the loop.

it's not a revised list - one is the house, the other is the senate

ROFLOL! WELL? That's ONE way to keep your mouth shut. LOL!
Graham, Levin, Edwards and Hatch have been on every talk show one could possibly make in a week.
Check out the REVISED list by Howlin post #49. I think they're all alive. LOL! Physically, that is.

How many in on that briefing identify with the peaceniks? They will justify their lack of trustworthiness as preventing innocents from being killed.
I feel sure the Bush White House will investigate the source of leaks. There are many ways to make it very unprofitable for them.
I expect that if there are future leaks - there will no longer be briefings before an action. That is the next step and when pressed as to why the public is not informed, they will advise why.

norm is the only one on the list i'm absolutely, positively sure isn't leaking but, that's only because he's dead Did you see the movie Major League. As the owner said, when one of the board of directors pointed out that one of the players she intended to hire was dead,
WELL, MARK HIM OFF THE LIST.

I thought Hatch right off the bat but Rumsfeld reprimanded him severely after the last leak. So, WHO IS IT? Curious minds want to know!!!!

I wrote the Pelosi woman an email to remind her that the American people are firmly on board with the President's policies without needing to be informed of every little detail and if over 90% can see the need to keep information secret, so can she.

Step 1: Replace all Clinton hirees.
Step 2: Ensure conservative GenX replacements. They run quiet and smooth, and won't snag on pretty offers. We've seen 'em before, they're bunk.

He needs to release differing stories to members of congress and then whichever story gets leaked to the media, he knows who it is and should out them. Exactly -- this is an age-old technique for uncovering rats.

I am so loving our gutsy President. I expect the Leaker is more than a little worried about his/her pet projects, future invitations to the White House not to mention the possibility of no more face time as a talking head or even re-election. heeheehee Good. I hope they can't sleep at night.

Yes, we are seeing that steely resolve Barbara Bush gave this son.
Let's watch all the media and the enemies of the U.S. in congress now come forth with good reasons that they need to have access to this confidential information. Although leaks and deaths to our soldiers, they will show that they need to know. Of course, they need to know - how else to forewarn bin Laden?
This is cramping the style of our media. How hard to be first with the news -irregardless of the effect on our soldiers and our objectives - when you have been declared a security risk.
I love it! The press conference reflected all of their pompous indigation at having their links shut off. Now they will indicate the president seeks to run the government without oversight. They are such pompous, unpatriotic fools.
