Today was the feast of The Holy Rosary. The Feast was established by Pope St. Pius V after the Christians defeated Muslim invaders in the 1500's. The connection to Our Lady of Fatima is obvious.

Wasn't Michael Matt a SSPX schismatic who said in his newspaper that he defies the Pope "to his face"? I will wait for an official announcement from properly constituted authorities in the Church before I pay any attention to this.

Prayer is always good.

Let's focus on that message and let those who are looking for a "sign" busy themselves with that.

Michael Matt, editor of the Remnant a traditionalist Catholic newspaper published the following report on their
     website.

We have been informed by a reliable contact in France that Sister Lucy (the only surviving seer of the Fatima
apparitions) has delivered a message to Carmelite sisters in France. According to this report, Sister Lucy
recently received another communication from the Mother of God. In the wake of that communication, we are
told, Sister Lucy has asked Carmelite sisters throughout the world to pray specifically on the Feast of the Most
Holy Rosary for a special intention. That intention is, we are told, that the world might be spared “a blood
bath.” Whether this has any connection to the impending war with Islamic terrorists, we have no way of
          knowing.

Though our French source is reliable, we have not been able to confirm this report ourselves, and are now in
the process of trying to do so. At least two Carmelite convents in the United States have indicated to us that
they have NOT received such a message. One Carmelite convent, however, did confirm that they did receive a
letter from the Asociatcion Ntra. Sca Del Rosario in Fatima Portugal (dated September 13th, 2001), which did
call on the Carmelite order to unite with Sister Lucy in praying for peace in the world on October 7—the Feast
of the Holy Rosary. In this letter (written in Spanish) there was no mention of a recent communication to Sister
Lucy from Our Lady, nor was there reference to a “blood bath.” We are presently waiting for the text of the
          French version.

In any event, we believe that, because time is short between now and the Feast of the Holy Rosary, it would be
a good idea for all Catholics to join the Carmelites in praying for this intention on tomorrow’s Feast. Such an
intention is a certainly most worthy, especially right now; so even if this French report turns out to be somehow
exaggerated, the intention is still well worth remembering during this critical hour of unrest and uncertainty in the
          world.

Even if there is nothing 'magic' about any of this, it cannot hurt to do what Sr. Lucy recommends. I find it eerie that this rosary thing takes place on the day of the Islamic defeat - I also find it weird that we are getting this message from the messenger of FATIMA who was the prophet Mohammed's favorite daughter, which surely must portend some gesture of mercy on our Islamic brothers and sisters. Be all of that as it may, it can't hurt to take the prayer suggestion and I think people should do it.

Today begins a novena for an end to abortion. The Holy Father has given his blessing for all who participate in this novena of prayer and fasting.

I'll try to find the information, its from the 7th until the 16th.

World War II for the US began on Dec. 7th 1941, the eve of the Feast of Mary's birthday and ended on Aug. 14th 1945, the eve of the Feast of the Assumption.

I seem to recall that the fall of Soviet communism happened on Marian feast days.

What a bunch of superstitious nonsense.

Don't waste your time praying to Mary or any other people. They can't hear you.

John.14

[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, (NOT MARY) the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

It is a waste of time calling upon Mary. She can't hear you anyway unless they are suggesting that the Word of God is untrue. The dead don't communicate with the living.

Luke 16:19-31

[19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

[20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

[21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

[24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

[25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

[26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

[27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

[28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

[30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

[31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

For Christians the mediator betweenus imperfect mortals and God is Jesus. Not Mary or anyone else. To state otherwise calls God a liar.

1Timothy 2:5

[5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

For Christians it is the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost who intercedes on our behalf:

Rom.8:26

[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

God cannot lie, but imprefect mortals can lie:

Titus 1:2

[2] In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

I don't see Catholicism as Christian, however it is not my place to evaluate their salvation. I can only point out where Catholicism is in disagreement with the Word of God.

Catholics, do Christians a favor and DON'T pray to Mary or any other imperfect dead mortals. We really need God on our side. We don't want Him pissed off at your superstitious idoltry.

"Sister Lucy recently received another communication from the Mother of God."

I don't care what church you go to, that statement is BLASPHEMY !!!

God has no 'mother' and to say that he does constitutes polytheism, and clearly mocks the first commandment.

Michael Matt is a nut-bar. Unfortunately. I'll believe this report when it appears in a Catholic paper that isn't the equivelent of the "Weekly World News".
