Even if there is nothing 'magic' about any of this, it cannot hurt to do what Sr. Lucy recommends. I find it eerie that this rosary thing takes place on the day of the Islamic defeat - I also find it weird that we are getting this message from the messenger of FATIMA who was the prophet Mohammed's favorite daughter, which surely must portend some gesture of mercy on our Islamic brothers and sisters. Be all of that as it may, it can't hurt to take the prayer suggestion and I think people should do it.

It's not a coincidence that the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary falls on the same date as Lepanto. St. Pius V called for all Christians to pray the Rosary for the defeat of the Turks. When the Turks were defeated at Lepanto on October 7th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary was placed on October 7th.
