RESPECT LIFE MONTH: Help save pre-born babies.
self ^ | 10/7/2001 | self

Posted on 10/07/2001 2:29:21 AM PDT by HEFFERNAN2

October is "Respect Life Month." Today, October 7th, is National Life Chain Sunday. Please check your local parishes, churches, synagogues, mosques and/or your place of worship to see where and when the life chain will be forming in your community today. Join thousands in your community lining sidewalks holding signs and flags opposing the killing of unborn children. Remember, generations depend on saving the life of just ONE CHILD!

Hmmmmm, strange that it wasn't mentioned at Mass this morning. Of course, it was 7:30 and maybe Father wasn't totally awake yet. ;^D

Offering up my prayers.

Thanks

"My son's unborn baby will be met by his family on Oct. 24th around 9am. He will be welcomed by loving arms lifting him and laying him on his mother's breast. "

Congratulations. Another Freeper to swell our ranks.

I'll bump this...but gezzzz, looks like you caught all those swimming in my gene pool.

-BTTT-...Let us hope RLM celebrates the unborn with the same reverence as all others walking amoung us.

I'm ashamed to say that I've been so busy with other issues that I had NO idea about the Life Chain today...and I can't seem to find any resources to tell me if there are chains active in Southern California!

Thanks for the MEGA BUMP, Mercuria! We just got back from the Life Chain in our area (forgot a stroller....OH, my aching arms :^) and it was very well attended. We got lots of thumbs up from passing motorists, along with a few other fingers from those that are apparently not pro-life.{:-o But all in all, it was an excellent day.

Here are some links for you:

In Wilmington NC there was a city wide church supported pro-life rally all stood silent with signs for pro-life along College road for about a mile. It was chilling, reverent and thought provoking, I will link when available later hopefully.

Thanks to all of you! I didn't post it to be congratulated for my son's efforts, along with his wife's, but to show the contrast between our views and the views of those who prefer to kill their babies. We are celebrating the birth of Joseph Michael and too many others are having a celebration of their own; the freedom of not being burdened with life. Last night I was being complimented for another son being in the Air National Guard. He hasn't been sent overseas yet, but it is a surety that he soon will go. It was his choice to make and, as a patriot, I am standing alongside him. He has a 1 1/2 year old daughter who will wait for her daddy to come back to her. I have a third son who isn't married and who is thinking about his future and ours. All three sons take their roles as Americans seriously. They were all in the womb and if I had made the wrong choices all those years ago, I wouldn't be tearing up right now with so much love and pride that I am nearly ready to explode. God Bless You All and America!

Today is Respect Life Day...

How fitting that this is also the day that President Bush retaliated against Bin Laden.

Check it out! Peruse! Be amazed with the diversity!

(Looks like there's now a size limit on FReeper profile pages, John? Some of my links are "squished" together! Advise?)

Thanks for the ping, Merc!

The fact that today is "Respect Life" Sunday and that October is Respect Life Month was mentioned at Mass this AM -- but no mention of a chain in the area at all.

Would have LOVED to be a part of one ... :~(

Let's keep this post bumped FOR LIFE ... or at least through all of October, when we each read it or see it we can say a prayer for the "parents who are making that terrible choice", to be awakened to the fact that they are killing a helpless human being.

A FREEPER LIFE CHAIN OF OUR OWN ...

B^U^M^P FOR LIFE!

I am ashamed that I have heard NOTHING about this from our church -- and I am there every week. I have heard about the donations the Archbishop wants for his remodeling, etc. but nothing about the Pro-Life chain.
