He claims it's justified in Islam (by Bin Ladin) because the US is seen as a warzone, just as bombings in Israel are justified by Islamics, even those who condemn the WTC attacks because Israel is a warzone.

Unfortunately, too many people react on impulse and emotion.
I hope that an anti-Muslim backlash does not develop where innocent people are harmed. It makes our argument meaningless.
But! -- How in the world can anybody read what the Quran says about non-Muslims and not feel threatened?

OK the first 300 years of Christianity the Romans were killing Chrstians. The first 300 years of Islam, the Muslims were killing Christians. It took about 300 years of Muslim wars and aggression before the Christians woke up and started the first Crusade.

I heard someone on CSPAN yesterday, on Book Notes... forget his name but he was pretty good. He said that in the Crusades, the Christians asked for and were granted dispensation for killing others in wars. The Muslims were promised paradise for killing their enemies. Think about the difference.

Good point. Another point, how can any Muslim read what the Qu'ran says and not want to kill Christians and Jews? If they want to be "good" Muslims, then they must never take a Christian or Jew as a friend and must strive to either forcibly convert them, drive them from the land, or kill them.

Is there any record of Jews doing physical harm to the Germans before Hiltler wrote his Fatwa or even advocating it five years later? There are lots of Muslims who want us dead, and it would appear that they are making themselves known. Where were all the "Good Muslims" when Khomehni was holding American hostages and pronouncing us "The Great Satan"? Where were all the "Good Muslims" when Khomehni called for the murder of someone who wrote a novel? Pretending to care now, like Yasser Arafat, doesn't cut it.

The problem as I see it is that few Americans are willing to actually take a close look at who our enemy is here. They somehow think that there is some way to appease these people. Maybe if we stopped our support of Israel, maybe if we close our bases in Saudi Arabia. Actually the only way we are going to be safe from these people is if we install an Islamic Government here in America and institute Islamic Law. Until then we are the Great Satan, because we are great and we are not Islamic.

This is a religious war. It is not because we are a Christian Nation that these people hate us. It is because we are not an Islamic Nation. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Until we recognize our enemy the majority of casualties in this war will be our own. Burying your head in the sand and pretending that the majority of Muslims in the world mean us no harm is stupid. They only wish us no harm inasmuch as we are Muslims. If we are not, then we are the enemy.

"Allah" is not the God of the Jews and Christians. It is a great deception that has been poured out and believed by many, including the Pope. But do not be deceived. Hasn't anyone ever wondered about the moon symbol on Arabic flags and emblems? Allah is the god of the moon.
