You all should give a listen to Dennis Prager (syndicated radio host) right now. He is livid over the CNN/Reuter's decision not to use the word "terrorists" in describing the "alleged hijackers."
"I hate fools," Dennis says, and calls them "cowardly" and "incompetent." He states they don't "tell the truth" and/or are "manipulating the truth." (No news to FReepers.) He is asking his listeners not to watch CNN in protest; he states this is a first for him - he never tells listeners what to read or watch - but thinks CNN has gone way over the line. Furthermore, he says he is no longer going to be citing stories over the air sourcing CNN or Reuters as he feels they have lost all credibility.
Dennis says he has been invited on CNN a number of times, and if this means he is never invited back on again, so be it. He says it's time for all of us to stand up and be heard.
Good for you, Dennis.
Boycott CNN, Reuters, ABC and Jane Fondle. CNN is even calling the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan the "rebels" when the Northern Alliance is the former democratic monarchy, and the Taliban (mostly from Pakistan) are the true "rebels."
At least the U.S.A. is on the CORRECT side in this "war." Not on the side of the Islamic Fundementalist KLA rebels and Albanians, like we were in Kosovo.
Remember, Bill Clinton pardoned terrorists.

A fun, informative and fast-paced caller driven program, listeners tune to The Dennis Prager Show each weekday for a discussion on a variety of ethical and moral issues. Listeners get hooked as their lives and intellect become enriched on a daily basis. It is a compelling show that you will find yourself craving each weekday. Dennis Prager has a nationally syndicated radio talk show which originates from Southern California. He has been lecturing around the world for 30 years. He is a best selling author having written four books. He is also a television personality frequently appearing on national news programs and his writings often appear in national newspapers and magazines. In 1994-95, he also had his own daily national television show and he is often seen on such television shows as Larry King Live, Politically Incorrect, The Late Late Show on CBS, Rivera Live, The Early Show on CBS, Fox Family Network, The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes and he has been the main subject on CSPAN several times over the past years. |
I called him once and got into an argument with him on his show, and he ended up getting mad at me and hanging up. I was moved to call him back later to apologize (he made a point of taking calls off the air for 15 minutes or so after most shows), because in a segment about that blasphemous exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum of Art he actually suggested that the place should be burned to the ground.
For some strange reason, he was always one of the few radio hosts who would have Pat Buchanan on as a guest. After listening to him on WEVD for a few months I figured he was more of a libertarian than anything else.
His "It's a Wonderful Life" Christmas parody from his WABC days (in which "Al Sharpton" is visited by his guardian angel -- played by "Ed Koch" -- who shows him how wonderful the world would have been if Sharpton had never been born) should go down as one of the most memorable moments in radio history. I still laugh about it to this day.
Al Shaprton: "What? Huh? Who's this old white guy whispering in my ear?"
Ed Koch: "I'm, uh, yer guardian angel, Reverend Al, yer, uh, Voice of Reason. And, uh, I'm here to show you what the world would be like if you had, uh, never ... been ... born."

Hey..I'm ready! Let's roll!
Lordie, that was a good laugh.
