Just wanted to share with y'all some good news, some news of life amidst all the terrible things of the last couple of weeks.
The Lovely Wife [aka FReeper "RightOnlinesWife"] gave birth to our seventh child at about 10:00 Thursday evening, the 27th. It's a bouncing, PERFECTLY healthy baby boy (named Jared Scott [insert ROL's last name here]). He was 9 pounds, 6 ounces (believe it or not, making him one of our SMALLER babies at birth!), and a full 22" long.
I won't bore you with the usual details Dad's run on about..................suffice it to say this went from what looked to be our seventh smooth-as-silk, no-shots, no-drugs, etc., normal-normal childbirth....and in the blink of an eye turned into an emergency C-section. RightOnlinesWife's first C-section.
Praise God, the end result is what matters. Mother and baby are both healthy, VERY well, and gorgeous.
Thanks for putting up with this vanity, but had to share with my FReeper friends. God bless...........and I'll set aside cigars for all who ask. :)
7 - cool number. I have seven in my family. I mean 6 siblings, of course - I haven't had sex seven times in my life.
ROFL!!! Yes, seven times is asking too much for some! ;)
Congratulations RightOnLine...God Bless you, your wife and 7 children!!! :)
Congratulations to you and Mrs. ROL!!! May God bless both of you and Jared Scott ..... as well as all the other ROLs!
Lay off the KC-135 stories, unless you want him to sleep!
Consider it done. :)
We have 3 sons - 18, 14, and 9 - and we'd LOVE another one!!
Anyway - again CONGRATULATIONS!!"
Wow................tenth. Man oh man oh man. THAT takes courage..........and one heck of a bank account (believe me.....I know) :). Ya know, I have two very good friends who each have ELEVEN kids. One of these families goes to our church.......and you've never seen nicer, better-behaved kids in your life. Large families can be wonderful, as long as there's love and respect there. I wouldn't trade it for the world (I was one of five, and believe it or not, was "the confirmed bachelor" of the family.......the one who was never going to have ANY kids; go figure :) ).
AND.........why not have another, MG? We've set the example for ya here. :) (our others are nearly-22, 19, 15, 14, 12, and 10; four boys, two girls).
- and oh, yes - she also has homeschooled her children for 12 years!!
She's a dear friend and she helped us out through our early homeschooling years.
So is RightOnlinesWife. :) IF you and your husband are so inclined, then you are NOT too old, believe me. :) BTW, we've homeschooled for over 17 years.......
ROFL.....................well, I suppose I can only prove seven times. :)
Congratulations!
As I said, we've been at it for 10 years now - with our oldest off to college for the first time this year.
Well - as far as being 44 - I suppose we can give it a try. :))
:-)
