President Bush 2002 Calendar - Possible FR Fund Raiser?

A couple of nights ago, there was some enthusiastic discussion on the "A Day in the Life of President Bush" thread regarding somehow having a 2002 calendar made up with pictures of President Bush in it, perhaps as a Free Republic fund-raiser. We need everyone's input! Please post any pictures that you would like to see included in this calendar. We also would like for everyone to vote for their favorite two or three pictures from the ones that are shared.

Mountaingirl, why forget making a calendar? We need, what? Twelve pictures? The one I posted is from the White House, and they might be willing to allow the use without cost.
The other pictures? We could always ask what they would charge for use of their copyright. No problem asking. All they can do is say "no" or $5,000. But maybe they'll ask for less, something we might figure out a way to afford.
Why don't we get a list of winners and then check out who owns the copyrights?

Honestly there might be a problem "endorsing" a candidate if you want to connect it with FR. I'd check with Jim, but usually that is a sore subject among forum participants. Actually I did ask Jim Robinson's opinion a couple days ago and he said he thought it was a good idea.

Probably the best approach would be to make up blank calenders and let people choose the photos they want from archived photos some of us have. The selections would be personal and no one would know what photos were chosen.
Those who would prefer another, non-presidential person could choose something else.
Diotima is right about this. The forum is not exclusively for Bush supporters or even Republicans, and so anything done must keep that stricture in mind.

Well, if we can' have a GW calendar, I wanna Freeper Hunks calendar! There should be a ladies' alternative to all the Ann Coulter pix, LOL.

I misunderstood your post. I didn't realize you wanted to raise money for the forum, I thought you wanted to raise money for a campaign. There has been, in the past, problems among the forum participants with the forum endorsing a candidate.

I still get a thrill from these taken during the 2000 campaign in FL. The rainbow came our just as GWB & Laura were emerging from their plane. Many saw it as a powerful sign that Dubya would be victorious eventually.
These photos seem especially moving now in light of the evil terrorist acts committed using hyjacked planes on 9-11-2001.
Rush posted it on his website and if I recall correctly he captioned it:
