ABC News Forbids American Flag

Two brief paragraphs from the 'Jennings' column in today's Washington Post may deserve more attention. Jennings said things you may not like on 9/11 -- but this is going on NOW.

ABC has barred its journalists from wearing lapel flags such as the one sported by White House correspondent Terry Moran.

If anyone has doubts about ABC just look up (if avaliable) of Wed or Thurs. Nightline and also Primtime.
If there are any doubts to which side ABC is on it will clear it up for you.
I am so sick of hearing "how many innocent lives are going to be lost if military action is taken.....blah blah blah.
ABC seems to be leading the way with this crap.
My local ABC affiliate (los Angeles) has a reporter in New York and for two night he interviewed people there and put such an anti-war spin on the interviews like 5-1 in favor of not going to war.
It was disgusting!

I know that, but he is employed by the same company and did the research that said that this is an untrue claim on his employer. When I have first hand info like that (i.e. I heard him myself on the radio) compared to some column who is quoting a third source ... Hey, maybe Hannity is wrong but until I hear otherwise, I have a first party ABC source saying something opposed to a third party reference.

In net it is best to get another verification - there is just too much untrue stuff floating around and the media is doing a terrible job of verifying it.

Well, you might lurk on this site 24/7, but I have a job. So sometimes I post and then don't get a chance to answer any replies for a while. Be patient. Take a hot bath or something. Your eyes look bloodshot, did you know that?

I didn't shove any words in your mouth. The post was directed to everyone, although I addressed it to you since the first part was specifically in response to something you said. The fact is, many on this board -- perhaps not you, I don't keep charts on such things -- consider the words liberal, left-wing, Democrat (in fact, anything to the left of Pat Buchanan) to be synonyms for "commie." Having lived for 5 years in an actual communist country, this tends to frustrate me a little (as do liberals who tar conservatives with the "fascist" label). Needless to say, there is not a single large corporation in America that could be said to exhibit communist, or even radically leftist, tendencies. Some of their employees might be lefties, but not so much that they'd want to be noticed by their capitalist bosses. (And to those who think Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and that mumbling guy on NBC are "left wing": LOL. To repeat, only compared to Pat Buchanan.)

It's now 2:20 a.m. Eastern time. If you don't respond within 5 minutes I won't say you're "shoving words in my mouth and running." I'll just assume you have a life. Although I think you very well MIGHT respond within 5 minutes.

Not to change the subject, but Reuters has forbidden its "journalists" to use the word "Terrorist". Their reason? "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" and they don't want to p&ss anyone off! Heard it on Fox.
